GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

Thanks s4ntos, appreciate that. Maybe I'm not fully understanding how CS works, but for me whenever I turn on CS it takes over my hosts file and stops decaptcher from sending the captchas back to its main server. It kinda takes over. I don't know, maybe I've bought a dodgy version of CS, but for me allowing de-captcha as my main captcha service redirects any outgoing queries to CS, which often fails. Anyway, no hassle, I'm good. I honestly don't mind spending my money on captchas when gsa does what it does for my sites!!

Did you try running it with the host file redirect in place? I believe that's the purpose of that option so you can run a secondary service. (I think)

You should try it with that option.

I found a super major bug in SER.
I have about 31 campaigns in one of my VPS' SER.
I highlighted all of them and edit the engines to disable scridb engine.

Upon doing so, the application pop an error saying it has an error and asked if whether I want to continue, restart or close the application.

I closed it and launched SER again.

Now here's the major bug: all my projects got screwed up.

For instance, at least 10 campaigns have their details missing (image comments, video duration, .etc).
Worst still, some of them inherited the details from the first few projects I have.

All my work is gone and I have to restore the backups which are really-really old.

I've reported this issue to Sven.

But fuck this, I am really fucking frustrated and pissed about this.

Your not the first one, had this happen to me twice.

Also somehow verified urls form one project will end up ion the wrong one. Sent a report to a client and only half of the verified urls had the right url. All the others were from different projects.

GSA needs the following feature added.
Every time you exit the program it should have a pop up window that says "backup everything y/n "
Easier for the user.
Maybe keep the last 5 dated backups in folder - or something like that....

Im seeing a lot of places online that say to only use GSA to create 2nd and 3rd tier links and not 1st. Is it the quality of links that cant be set high enough for tier1 or is it the quality of the work it does - not looking complete and human enough? Or is this just a falicy?

How do you set category to random? I only get the option to add categories and it mentions using masks which I don't understand either. Thanks :)

There is an easy way to back up ser
In the GSA folder under app data, there is a folder called projects
Making a copy of that folder, will back everything up. Your project data that is.
I find it quicker than highlighting all projects and backing up

Best thing to do is to post in the GSA forum about it. Sven is usually pretty responsive to threads like that.

Actually, I saw him mention somewhere on the forum that something like this is on his to-do list. An automated project backup.

Its up to the user if they think the links are good enough. If you set it to post to PR3 with Max 50 Outbound Links and use a decent bad words list, I don't see how the link could be considered low quality.

You can just list categories like for example if you're in weight loss niche you would do some like: *Health*, *Fitness*, *Exercise*, and I always throw in a *General*, *Miscellaneous*.

The software will pick a random category if none of the ones you put in are found. You set this option in your project options where it says, "If a form field can't be filled (like category) choose random. By default its set to "ask user" so you will need to click on it and it will change.

... I do own CS but rarely use it as I find the success rate to be low. Granted, I probably don't use it to its full potential ....

Thanks.

See below .. also be sure to set your retries to around 5 or 6 for CS (for the majority of platforms .. evidently there is at least one platform according to Ozz that only allows 3 attempts). With this setting you're all but guaranteed a correct solve.

Did you try running it with the host file redirect in place? I believe that's the purpose of that option so you can run a secondary service. (I think)

You should try it with that option.

To use a human solving service (such as DBC or de-captcher or ShanipBo) as your second option, you will need to DESELECT 'use hosts file redirect' from the settings menu :)

not sure which one ozz was referring to, but i know some of the forums (eg. phpBB) default setting is 3 max retries, but then most of those are pretty easy to solve in CS CDK so i think it should be ok.. i am now trying the higher retries of 6 for CS to see how it goes

Just checking the Trial version and played around for 1 day now. Looks like a great software! But I (or the software) also was not able to create any web 2.0 property?

I use 10 private proxys and decaptcha service.

@s4nt0s, could u pass on a feature request to sven regarding captchas, at present it seems that if a captcha is returned from CS as 'unknown', SER sends it again x amount of times according to the SER captcha retries setting before sending it to the backup captcha service.

if the captcha (with same dimensions) is unknown to the 1st captcha solving service (eg. CS) then it is not going to get solved no matter how many times it gets sent.

any submit page would only use 1 captcha type, so if SER can detect the dimensions (maybe already is? or maybe this is a problem for this feature?) and if it gets an 'unknown' status back from CS, and then the next submit attempt has the exact same captcha dimensions (for the same exact submit form) then it could just forward the next try to the backup captcha service, this could save resources for other purposes and help remove the problem of getting temp bans from the engines that only allow a few attempts.

(this feature would definitely need to detect the captcha dimensions, as some engines randomly change the captcha dimensions on every submit attempt.)

what do u think? :)

No problem. I'll run it by him now.

Looks promising...I'm buying it..."Throwing Scrapebox in the trash, where it belongs".

Good to hear you're buying it. I'll have to say Scrapebox doesn't belong in the trash though. SB is a great tool. ;)

The web 2.0 proporties seems to be the hardest bit to work with. I have only create one account so far.

Are you running PR and OBL filter? Might be best to turn those off when doing the web 2.0's.

4.29 - new: ability to use ArticleBuilder
- new: option to use spell errors in descriptions to fight duplicate content
- new: support for a new macro called #err[0..10000]
This will modify the content with typos/misspelling. The higher the number the more
typos are generated (but keep it readable for humans). This is not modifying your
anchor text of URL if used in the text.
You might ask for what is this useful? Some say it fights duplicate content,
some say it's rubbish. At least you can decide to use it or not.
- new: support for a new macro called #gennick[BLAHH,min, max]
this creates a random login with min/max length. The first parameter is not used for now.
- new: support for a new macro called #random[a..z,A..Z,0..9,@,!,;]
this will insert a char from the given range into the field
- new: support for a new macro called #file="c:\xyz.txt"
this will insert the content from a file (or URL)
- new: #file_links can now use URLs as parameters
- fix: minor bug on URL verification (login is no longer parsing for links)

The speed at which Sven adds in new features like Article Builder after we request them is awesome.
