So which Internet security are people using these days and which one do you think is the best?

I have been using Norton Internet security, clean, silent, little cpu usage and does it job, but I hate the way they changed the design for the 2013 suite

Go for kaspersky Internet security or Bitdefender internet security, however there are viruses that cannot be detected buy an virus guard, most OF them are called RAT (remote administration tool) so always use your brain, never use any cracked software unless its coming from a trusted source, crypted Trojans takes months to identify by security software's.hope this helps

Regards

i have nod32 its good and not heavy for the sys

i like also avira and kav

I am using avast internet security. I love its Safe Zone browser. I use it when I visit PayPal, my bank, etc. No keylogger will capture what I type.

m using avg free version and works pretty well if you update it daily. no virus attack till date on my pc!

have used norton(makes sys speed slow), nod(good but not effective to catch the virus came from mobiles) till date.

I like the new interface for avg 2013, hopefully it will run quicker than 2012 edition.

Ugh do people still use the likes of AVG, kaspersky, norton etc?

Anything that pops up when it should and does nothing when it should is bad in my eyes. Microsoft security essentials for me.

MSE has one of the lowest system resource footprints, a very low false positive rate and has great detection techniques that are not at all invasive to the user. Honestly as a software developer of many years with experience helping others get around issues, most AVs are just an abhorrent mess that cause more problems than they solve.

MalwareBytes is awesome at getting rid of threats that other software cannot touch and is the only thing other than MSE that I could ever bring myself to advise others use.

Are you guys seriously advising anyone use AVG, Avast or Kaspersky? Have you tried the alternatives?

AVG here and works like a charm....light weight and very effective with trojans and spyware

None. Am I the only one that thinks that 99% of the viruses is the user's fault?

I believe that no matter what antivirus you use:

1) No antivirus will truely clean your pc. Format is the only way to fully clean it.
2) Antivirus Companies create viruses so they can sell their products.

I use only anti spyware.

I just got nailed hard using Expressions it also hopped on Filezilla and munched on 13 WP sites with Better WP Security... Never been TKO'ed 2 weeks.

IMO the few protectors I like all have real time checks. It sure beats me sitting there wondering how this unknown pop up already found 36 infected files...

If AVG finds and starts protecting against a new threat it doesn't mean others are yet
