Got Scammed by ShiningEyes

I asked some people if they could buy me a Scrapebox license using their paypal account and that i would pay them via Payza.
At 08-11-2012 12:30 PM ShiningEyes replied and said that he could buy me a license and that i would have to pay him in advance. I paid him and 48 hours later i got the details.

I contacted Scrapebox Support to get the new license registered in my name. They replied and told me that the license was not recently bought and was bought 1 year ago.

Then i contacted him and asked him. He said that he gave me an old license and bought himself a new license with the money i gave him when he said that he would BUY ME the license not buy himself. Now because of this the license has been deactivated by scrapebox support.

Now you might say that the license is not transferable. This is what the FAQ says:

Can I have a friend pay for Scrapebox?

Yes. You can have anyone pay for Scrapebox for you. You just need to let the Scrapebox team know that this is the case. After payment is made you should use the contact form on scrapebox.com to notify them that someone else has purchased it for you, but you would like scrapebox registered in your name.

Be sure to include the following when you submit the form:

• The unique paypal transaction ID
• The email used to pay
• Your email
• Your name
• That someone else is buying scrapebox for you

I also confirmed through scrapebox staff that if the license is not second hand and bought a few days ago then it could be transferred to the to the original buyers name and email address.


Why the License got Terminated:

I contacted support to get it transferred to my name after reading the FAQ. They asked me when the license was bought. I told them 1 or 2 days ago. Then the support said that the license was bought 1 year ago and that i should get a refund ASAP.
They said that the license is not transferrable and deactivated the license. Then i asked them if this was a recently bought license could it be transferred to my name. They said "Yes it is possible".

NOTE: The deactivated license Showed the message "activated" and then it displayed a message to wait a few hours proving that it was not yet activated at their end.

You didn't deliver what i paid for. I paid for a new license so that i can get it transferred to my name. The license can be transferred to my name if it was bought recently and not 2nd hand bought (confirmed from Scrapebox support and Scrapebox FAQ).

NOTE: At the end i contacted the admin BigBuddy and he advised me to ask for a refund and if not given post iin shitlist.


He clearly gave me somehting we didn't bargain for. I gave him $60. Why would i give someone $60 for a 1 year old used Scrapebox license?

Both working and both if known to SB support, have been sold or transferred are terminated.

He should have asked me first if he wanted it to his name, Actually he did and i told him that "its neither transferable nor resalable"

hi, Here i got the reward for helping a noob.

Well here is the summary.

About an year ago a member "SEOLover" did me a favor and bought me scrapebox with his account cz i did not have paypal account. I paid him through another medium.
And one year after that, i thought i got an oppertunity to do the favor to someone else like someone did for me. It was "frazgta" who wanted SB. He was in same situation like i was an year ago.
He asked, I agreed, He paid and i gave him the license(the one which was given to me by SEOlover and thought i will buy a new one. I also told him that it is not allowed to sell or transfer SB license.
The license got activated.
He went straight to the SB support asking them to transfer the license to his name.
They told him the license can't be transfered or sold, if he bought from someone ask for refund, AND support immediately terminated the license.

Now after all that he did, asking me to refund,

I thought was a wise person and would not do something idiotic knowing that it is not allowed to sell or transfer the license of SB but i was proved wrong.

Here is the story:

Yes you did tell me that. Part of that is wrong.
It is Transferrable.
It is not resalable.

It is transferable if someone buys it for you and isn't 2nd hand used.
Secondly about the resellable part. You told me that the license isn't resellable as you just said then why did you intentionally and without telling give sold me your 1 year old license. Isn't that a "Resale" which isn't allowed as you said.

The whole problem arose because i was given an old license when i paid $60 for a new one.

How can you say that there is no difference between a new and old license. An old license is not transferable because that would mean that its a resold one. HINT: TOS.

All the OP required was to use someone's PP to buy an SB license. So blaming him for your mistake of reselling yours to him is absolute non sense. At least you should've told him the license is old and not transferable anymore so that he wouldn't have contacted support. It's your responsibility to repay the OP.
