GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

Still getting the wrong anchor text on my win 7 setup. Anchor text from my 30 projects is posted randomly into all of my projects. heard this one mentioned before -pretty major bug.

Can you backup your projects and send them to me so I can give it to Sven. He'll have to see your projects to see what the issue is and what's happening. You can actually backup all of them into 1 file if you highlight all of them and go to modify > backup.

3.88 - fix: bug in script engine that could incorrectly skip url filters - new: about 50 new search engines added (ecosia with language parameters)

Will do. Need a week though to forward backup to you. On vacation now and I don't have remote acces to the pc running GSA

Aaaah great. It was hard to reproduce, but I knew there was something wrong with the skip-filter in some circumstances. THX for the notification (and the fix).

SUGGESTION:
an option to set the the priority of taking urls from global site list...

for me its to lassy how low it takes urls from the list

Anyone having much luck with forum profiles?
I have just ran through about 200k forums with many fast private proxies and CS (which didnt crash!) and have ended up with about 600 links! The email works fine as well.

I'm just scraping a list and I'm close to 200k forums, but I wouldn't rely only on CS for captcha solving - you might be leaving too much on the table. With shanibpo down (I wonder who could have done it???) I need to check those other solving solutions as a backup to CS.

S4nt0s, I'm still having problems with the PR and OBL limits. I have a project set at PR1 and OBL <100 but half my links are N/A and PR0's with thousands of OBL.

You're going to need to send me your project. If I don't have the issue and Sven doesn't have the issue, the only way to see what's going on is to get your project and see where the problem is happening and see if its a setting, etc.

Alright s4nt0s, and everybody else, lets talk email!

I have been thinking a lot about the email issue and I have come up with a suggestion that I think would be a HUGE help in managing this, especially with the amount of projects I have. This is going to be a complete solution to the email issues involving broken/not-working/deleted accounts, blacklisting and updating, and even testing and adding a new one to a project. I hope something like it gets implemented, but who knows, it might be too much.

Here is how I want it to work, this involves a list of email accounts to be stored by the software.

1. Keep a database/list of email accounts that I can import (or add to by hand.)

This should be simple. Its a list of email accounts and server settings. This is storage, none of the ones in this list are currently in use by the software for a project. The window should let me mass edit the list, including deleting and changing server settings. It should also be able to test all the accounts (and I get to choose whether or not it uses proxies for this, it should default to "use proxies".) After a test run I should be able to remove all non-working emails from the list. This feature itself is pretty simple, and most of the code to do various pieces of this already exists (like testing emails.)

The biggest gain from this is the ability to buy big lists of accounts and import them. This saves a ton of work.

2. When building or editing a project I should be able to enter in specific settings for the project or choose a random email account from the list.

I would like to be able to build a project and have email automatically filled in and tested by the click of one button. It would pull from the list of emails from #1. When it pulls one from the list and uses it for the project it should remove it from the list. This will prevent it from being used again and it will keep the list management in #1 much easier, the list code wont need to know anything about which projects have which emails currently.

3. Per-project settings for the blacklist check, and auto-removal/changing.

Imagine if the software could check every X minutes/hours/days if the email address is broken (not working) or blacklisted. It could then automatically pull in a new one from the list. If you have this setup and there are no good ones left on the list it could do one of two things. Option one would be for it to stop the project and give you some sort of notice to tell you that you are out of emails. Option two would have it just keep running and do nothing when the list is empty.

When doing this it should make sure to check the email account for emails it needs to verify/confirm before it changes to the new one. So you dont miss out on any links.

4. Conclusion

In a perfect world I could import a few thousand emails and their settings, hopefully with some sort of mass editing for putting in the settings. I would then set my options on my projects and not worry about emails again for months.

Great suggestions!!! (as usually). Anon I see you play in another dimension of performance ;)

+1 from me.

Also check IP (of private proxies too) for blacklisting. Would be nice if this can be automated from time to time and display an error (a hardcore-luxury way to get this done: send an email notification).

Don't know how you are guys, but I'm damn addicted to check every few mins my VPS and home VM via RDP for the actual stats or just watch the logs fly by ;)

That is absolutely spot on Anon752. + 1 from me too. I was thinking along the same lines but hadn't got as far as working out how it should all work. This should be given priority.

Just to add to your suggestions, and this is probably wishful thinking but here goes; it would be great to be able to have SER go into our active hotmail accounts and perform the change of settings required to make sure all emails go to the inbox rather than the spam folder. Or, failing that, just have SER check the spam folder too when looking for verification emails.

I wasn't even aware of the possibility that some of my email addresses might be on the stopforumspam list until someone mentioned it here a few posts ago. Being able to quickly replace bad ones with the click of a button is definitely the way to go.

I'm really glad that you guy's picked up my suggestion and extended it :) Of course it would be nice to create/activate hotmail accounts, but I think when it's possible to buy a few hundreds for 5$ it doesn't make sense to include this to SER. In my opinion I think it's better to have a feature to use a list of email accounts and the other stuff Anon wanted.

Beside this a little hint: You don't have to check the spam folder. You can define a filter @ hotmail and the rule "if contains @" move it to inbox. This solves the problem with the spam folder. But it would be nice to get email-accounts which this rule already set.

Sven has already begun to figure out how to auto-create hotmails accounts as you can see in the hotmail.ini-file (GSA/email engines). The registration steps aren't much different from a forum registration for example. Once you have registered you can log in and change the values for your spam folder. A very basic email-creator should be doable for Sven.

That is indeed what I was referring to. Doing it manually is tedious. The allusion I was making was to automate the process by having SER login and change the settings or, as an alternative, have it check the spam folder instead.

Correct setup of tool.

I am doing a test for each platform to see how it works and what type of links it creates and in what format. I have created a separate project for each platform. That's = _+ 16 platforms.

I have run it for 24 hours and have the following settings:
1) Select all country specific SE's. e.g. right click, select country.
2) 10 Private proxies, 95 threads. Timeout 120.
3) I use CS with 2 retries.
4) Projects skip sites with Pr1 and below, as well as more than 50 OBL.
5) I have 650 bad words inserted (as supplied in this thread)
6) Use Keywords to Find Target Sites --> Selected.
7) Avoid Posting To Same Domain Twice --> Selected
8) Ask User --> Random
9) Each project has 100+ keywords.
10) Analyse Competitors --> Disabled.
11) Use Target Sites to Find Keywords --> Enabled.
12) Proxies tested and working fine.
13) Email checked and not blacklisted.
14) Use collected keywords to find new target sites --> enabled.

Results after 24 hours:
Forum - 1 Submitted 0 Verified.
Guestbook - 2 Submitted 0 Verified.
Indexer - 0 Submitted 2 Verified.
Trackback - 6 Submitted 0 Verified.
Most of the other platforms - 0 Submitted and 0 Verified.

It's running on a VPS.

I am hoping that by posting this and resolving this it will help other future readers who are starting to use the tool.

These are my questions:
1) What am I missing??? as these results are very low for Submitted (I understand Verified has many other factors, but step 1 has to be to get submissions higher!).
2) Is there a way to see what sites it rejected and why? I am not a programmer so can't go into backend files. Where can I view a list of sites that it found and then the results? (like it shows in the window in the bottom) This might help me to see why it's not submitting as with over 100 keywords and 6 SE's - there should be some results!

Appreciate the help.

95 threads seems a lot to me but I don't know what your vps is capable of in terms of traffic, cpu- and ram-power. IIRC S4ntos has always around 20 threads in his videos but I could be wrong there.

VPS Threads - discussed with hosting this morning and they said I can increase from 80 to 95-110 but must check it out. Still only running 75% ram and not maxing out bandwidth. Checked network as well as RAM and it still has capacity. So that shouldn't be an issue. Unless I am missing something else about thread setting where more threads = bad??

The CS will eat up your cpu resources, so you need to monitor that

Still - your numbers are quite low

Also - when you say you select one platform - do you mean one type or one group?
