I'm having a discussion with a friend, if men should be allowed to have multiple wives, considering there's no outside opinion i figured i would ask in a public forum.

That is only the opinion of most girls in western cultures. In some countries it is perfectly normal and would not cause any hard feelings as it is expected to be that way.

Slavery is normal and to be expected in some cultures as well but that does not mean there are no hard feelings. It's just that in some cultures, not everyone's feelings matter.

Well slavery has been abolished in every country a very long time ago. Your assuming that lets say a muslum wife has a problem with not being the only wife. So unless you are a Muslum wife or atleast spoke to one about this than this is your personal opinion only and we all have our own.

Personally I think marriage is a bad joke in the US, nothing more than a bussiness deal that I can not hope to benefit from so I could care less who get's married or to how many people they want to marry.

First of all get it out your head that all multiple wives are sex slaves and house slaves coming from that angle your more or less ending the discussion before its started. And to be honest people have had in western societies multiple wives and also married twin sisters etc and are living happily so dont just be biased and think this is a 3rd world nor a religious thing. Comparing it with slavery your already trying to associate the negative with multiple wives even though it may not be. Me personally im happy with the one wife.
