GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

Well this is going from strength to strength.
I have a small suggestion.
Would it be possible to post blog POSTS to elgg, as well as/instead of just forum profiles? I have had a play with the platform, and it doesnt seem too hard.
This would be a fantastic addition, as it allows a decent chunk of relevant content to be placed around the link.

Also, when supplying my own scraped sites, is it fine to just lump all the platforms together in one project, or will the software perform better if each platform type is its own project with its own list of targets?

Lastly, any way i can pause a project and get it to varify all links there and then? If i puase and select varify all links, when i retart it continues posting etc. If i remove all targets from cache, it tries to varify a few, and then just sits there.
I realise this is all about slow and steady, but in initial testing, instant feedback is important.

EDIT, also, it seems that statusnet only seems to post profiles. If this could actually post a 'tweet' that would be great.

Ok, with the Sky 3 package how many pages could I do SEO for at once? I have a lot of Web 2.0 pages and I plan to build a whole bunch more with the way Panda/Penguin has done my site.

I'm using the sky 3 package and I run as many projects on GSA SER as I want + the GSA Indexer. I usually keep the threads around 70 for GSA SER and 10 for the indexer.

Hey for your suggestions regarding platforms, features, etc there is a nifty new button added to the help menu in the latest update. If you have a feature suggestion you can click the help button then go to suggestion/feedback and submit it directly to Sven. This is the quickest way to get your suggestions straight to the developer. So I would send him Elgg/Statusnet suggestions + a better way to verify links quicker.

As far as importing your own list goes, you can definitely mix it all up if you'd like or you can separate the platforms if you prefer. Either way works great because it can detect the platform pretty quick.

*NOTE* For everyone else, don't abuse the new feature request/feedback button. Only use it for feature request/feedback and not tech support. If it gets too crazy he might have to remove it from the software so don't go overboard! ;)

First of all, thanks for the new version :)

I've submitted the following feature requests:
  • SpinChimp API support (as mentioned in the other very looooong GSA thread by others)
  • Autoupdate of the app
  • Collect errors in central database to speed up submission
  • Provide list of categories for directories
  • Verfiy links more often
  • Ability to export log (to optimize configuration/prevent wrong configurations)
  • Provide sample spintext for polnish fields (only a minorty speaks polnish)
  • Provide recommended length for forum "about me"/bio
  • Use provided URLs for "Link 1"/"Link 2" instead of specifing again

General:
In my own opinion it's wrong to promote that it has CaptchaSniper support, because it crashes CS after a random amount of time (I never had this problems with BMD).

Question(s) @ all:
  • Are you really using the posted badword lists in the very long GSA thread? I don't think it's a good idea because (as mentioned), it will filter out a lot of valid sites out because when you blacklist the word "ass", and on the page is "password", the site is filtered out.
  • Can anyone provide some general polnish spinntext to use for the polnish fields. I want to get most out of it...

Possible bug:
  • Is it a bug that after a "verfiy all links" the count for "submitted" stays at the same number as before? As I understood it should change to zero... And start increasing again.

Those are some awesome suggestions. I see you know how to use the feature request button properly. ;)

For the captchasniper support, it was added because many customers wanted it added. Even if captchasniper crashes, that is something on their end that hopefully will be fixed. If Captchasniper support wasn't added there would be tons of customers requesting it to be added all the time so that's why it was added.

I'm using a modified bad words list similar to the one that was posted in the big GSA thread. I've talked to Sven and he said that it only filters out exact words like "ass" and not "passwords". If you see it still doing that, let me know so I can tell him about it but he did say that he tested it and it won't do that.

You can translate from English > Polish using a site like http://www.microsofttranslator.com/ I'm sure the translation won't be perfect but it will probably work for now until some default .txt is in place.

Those suffering with the CS crashes, CI get released on the 13th.
Bad omen number
The beta was crashing and resetting a lot
Hopefully it will be a cs alternative when it goes on full release

@s4nt0s: Thanks for your compliments! :) I provide it like I would like to get it for myself.

CS: I'm not sure where the problem is. But it looks like CS has a problem with "multithreading". It works when it's used very slowly (with a very small number of threads). But it's impossible to use it with a (great) tool like SER. I'm hoping for (a stable) CI which handles this.

Bad word filter: Sounds good that it uses it in this way. I was unsure because I never read that it works like this in the 29 page thread. Personaly I only use it with the suggested values. I don't want to block a page with a blogpost containing "vi4gra" (not to promote vi4gra, but for example a joke about it or something like this)... I think such backlinks have more value than they damage.

Polnish text: This is a possibility of course. But it's really hard to create a usefull spinntext because I don't know the polnish grammar.

I've edited my last post additionaly with this:

with regards to CS if you are using the 1.5 beta then contact andreyg13 and request a replacement exe, they have a fixed exe for use with GSA/nohands etc

I have CS 7.77 running with GSA and it doesn't crash that often and to be totally honest i would point the finger at CS not GSA!

From memory, remember Im an old un compared to most here, CI does not support multithreading
But GSA allows for that

I'm sure it's CS - to be honest, CS isn't looking very professional (starts with the arguments about the version numbering.... ) and I understand why CI is using some stuff of it because CS itself uses some wellknown OCR stuff. My point was that SER doesn't really work with CS, so it doesn't make sense to promote it as it would work without any problems.

I've got CS 7.77. It works when the thread number is really really low and it doesn't have to handle multiple captchas at the same time. But to use such low thread numbers doesn't make any sense for a tool like SER.

One additional question: How many chars are you using for the "about yourself" field (forum related) to have good results? From other tools I know it really depends on the count...

I personally just write a couple of sentences in the "about yourself" box. Some other people might have some better ways but I try not to over-complicate it.

one of my projects is shortest 69 - longest 117 (actually they are all pretty similar tbh)

@s4nt0s: The problem is this field is very often limited. I know this from other daily blasts.. If it doesn't met the criterias, you can't benefit as often as it would be possible (here for example would be a log very usefull, otherwise you only can watch the stats but there are a lot factors. If there would be a log which has the possibility to group errors, the settings can optimized really well).

@bouquet: Thanks for your suggestion :)

Ok I see what you mean, I'll run it by Master Sven.

What size articles are you guys submitting?
The bigger the better for better spinning or or you using short articles?

I really like how active this application is devloped. Thanks a lot lee :) (only rebooted and there was again another update out)

About the article size: This is exactly the same problem. It's impossible to know here the best practises without having some logs and can group errors to optimize the article sizes and evaluate what performs at best (or have a loooooooong experience to know this stuff anyway).

One little problem: If GSA SI is used and I have to reboot my VM, the current queue is lost as far as I can see. Isn't it possible to save the queue to a file/db to continue after a restart of the tool?

About the bug I mentioned a little bit earlier: Is it really correct that submitted count doesn't lower and only increase even after a "verify all links"?
