you said you only started internet marketing in december 2010 - what was your background prior to that - i mean were you in sales previously or did you run your own business?

I've been working on a site of mine, which Iam trying my best to keep all white hat and decent, with quality content, it has adsense and amazon links on it, and i just checked my amazon account and it made $10 in last 10 days...

What is making me say wow is that a person clicks an amazon link from my site, buys that stuff, and heres the best part, amazon's upsells are so amazing that the person ends up buying 3-4 items and the commission goes into my account.

I wonder how superb would it be to become a vendor on amazon, I wish I were in the US so that I could sell on amazon

You are right. I've been an Amazon Associate for a long time and it is such a great thing to earn money giving reviews to their product.

I don't understand "use buying keywords". Do you mean buying keyword research or using the word "buy" in your keyword?

"Buyer keywords" can be more subtle than 'buy something something'.

People tend to have a buying cycle .. and it varies from person to person. But in general it goes like this:

"latest flat screen tvs"
"large lcd tv reviews"
"40 inch LG lcd tv"
"LG 42LK450 under $500"

As you can see, each search goes deeper into the cycle of buying. If you optimize your page for deeper down the buying cycle, you need to think like someone who is ready to buy. What do they need at that moment in time to make them whip out the credit card? If you are targeting keywords higher up the chain, you also need to think what can you do to take them deeper into the buying cycle without losing them.

That assumes you are referring them to a merchant. If you are just in it for Adsense, then you have a different goal. Give them enough to read down to where your ads are placed.

As you said you are in sales not in IM i would ask few questions:

1) I am quite sure you do not write all content yourself. So how much do you pay for review articles, how long are they and where do you find people to write articles for you.

2) How do you choose product except seo competition. How much products reviews site. Do you have price range filter - like you choose just products between $100 - $400?

You probably have some sites with cheao product to increase commission from 4% to 8%.

Stay away from their astore crap... it gets labeled as a thin affiliate
and gets deindexed real quick....

could you explain what exactly you mean by 'astore crap'?

i now have some blogs that occasionally push out posts on relavent products by more or less copying the amazon sales page with a buy-now button and link to amazon.

or are you talking a site that strictly uses the amazon astore software to make a storefront?

EDIT: after reading the rest of the thread it sounds like you are using the wordpress post method too.

the sites i have this on are not doing to hot in google rankings, but they are also .info, some are subdomains, and very little SEO work on them. just wondering if you think the amazon posts may have anything to do with it

I have like 10-11 accounts... all on family members name and stuff..
Its not good to keep that much money all riding on one account.
They decide that you are violating TOS for some BS reason...
then they keep your money.
I lost an adsense account with $6000 about 2 months ago.
For some bullshit reason. so i opened several adsense accounts.

This one is for the last week of March 2011.

I know some people use these screenshots for inspiration...

I am earning about $100 a day from Amazon. I'm looking to start a new account to be safe. Obviously you need a different bank account for it. Do you use proxies to access the different accounts so they don't track your IP? Or do they not even check for this?

If you create additional Amazon accounts then aren't you leaving money on the table? The more you sell on one account, the higher commission % you can receive, right? If you spread them out over several accounts it would be more difficult to hit the higher commission threshold... Correct?

I am in Thailand and sell crocodile leather stuff on amazon ... what's stopping you a "proxie"?
