My MNS just hit the first page!

Great man

Now,try to rank it in top 3 atleast.

Also, don't forget to rank some long tails as well as this are what which are going to bring majority of the traffic

Cheers!

Update:

I'm sitting on the first page slot #6. I'm sticking with the same original web 2.0's I built to start with. I'm still posting on the 2.0's to ensure they don't get deleted and adding content as well as book marking them and SB blasting them.

The only additional links I've added to the money site are PR links within my niche. Seems to be working really well so far..

How much money you make daily after the site hit #6?

Congrats! Good luck on getting to #1 . I'm sure you can do it !

Too be honest if you find a lower enough competition keyword. It is not hard to hit first page and stay there in first month. That is no disrespect too your accomplishment. This is aimed at zmoney.

Another update. I just took 1st page slot#4

Kinda cool I just passed another EMD/TLD for the same keyword. Adding quality links within my niche really seems to be a huge advantage for this low comp kw. The other EMD/TLD that I just passed has a lot of spam links like web directories and blog comments and such. Looking at my link profile you really see nothing but links within my niche.

how many people checked their rankings after reading this. guilty :P

Way to go! I have had my site for 10 days now and sitting right at Google spot #8 for my main keyword, I'll be following this thread and perhaps copying some of your backlinking methods to try and take a top3 spot myself :p

Well done sir, I am in the same boat. Actually, i'm going to be starting a new MNS here in the next few days, and I think I will be stealing some of your tactics :D, like the white hat stuff and timing.

Good Luck!

What sort of traffic are you seeing per day now for the keyword? Maybe about 30 uniques a day? (roughly 10% of the daily 250-300 visitors).

And any income?

how are you monetizing the site?

Just "ad sense" so far. I may add some "a mazon" book ads though because I think they'll sell based on my niche.

Sitting at the bottom on the first page I really didn't see much traffic maybe 10-15 uniques a day. Hitting spot #6 traffic took a little bit better jump 20-25 uniques a day. Once I hit the #4 slot traffic spiked up to 55-60 uniques a day. I'm hoping it spikes again each slot I take over.

As far as my strategy goes. To start off, I don't ping anything, ever. I want the links to be found naturally and if it takes six months to find a link, I'm fine with that. I really want my link profile to look as natural as possible.

Anything touching my money site is all manual choice links within my niche most of which have PR to them. I've passed on links with PR that aren't within my niche to have more of a natural link profile. I also manually did some selective bookmarking at the money site, not the spam bookmarks only the good stuff. I noticed that I got instant referrals from some BM's that gave me nice jumps in traffic immediately.

Besides those links the only other links pointing at the money site are my web 2.0's all of which have been SB blasted and BMD blasted. I've spent some time posting a lot on my 2.0's I'm actually getting followers on them and comments and such. One thing I've noticed is some of the web 2.0's start off as "nofollow" when just registered, but after hitting a certain number of posts some switch to "d0-follow."

Because I'm not pinging anything WMT is showing slow link growth. Its been just over a month and looking at WMT you only see 25 actual links. Of course there are more out there but they'll be found over time which is consistence with my natural link profile strategy. That's not even a link a day, but all of these links are good quality links within my niche and a lot of them have decent PR to them.

Using this natural linking strategy I blew past another EMD/TDL seo guy targeting the same KW in just a month. It's taken a little more effort and time but I honestly feel my positions are much more stable and geared towards a long term ranking.

I'll be sure to keep this thread updated.

That is extremely interesting about the web 2.0 sites switching from no-follow to follow.

At the end of the day though you need both types of links, in my opinion, so it is worth still having them the anyway.

Good work with your strategy :)

Update: I'm holding steady at the #3 slot. I just have to beat out these PR4's to take that #1 slot. As of now traffic and revenue is good...

Okay so you're not making any money..? you might be wasting your time with that niche, 20 visits is all it tkaes for someone to make money
