Hello Clyde, i have bought it yesterday, and im also buy the proxybonanza too, previously its wont work with my old adwords account so i sign up new one, and it works great.

one question, when i will get the free uNiches membership? ive email you yesterday.

Replied to your email, and thanks for the purchase!

Anyone have a guide to find great keywords with this tool. I love it but am having a hard time finding the right keyword.

Sure, just use this formula, high local searches, high CPC, high OCI, but low Difficulty. An EMD is a bonus.

There's also a "Brainstorm Product Ideas" from the Help menu to help you with seed keyword ideas.

I bought UNF a couple of days ago and I'm having great results with it. It is super fast, regularly-updated, and has a nice minimalist layout.

I had a small issue getting started (it turns out that my AdWords account, which once had a campaign loaded, was the culprit), but Clyde figured it out straight away and even provided me with a new AdWords account! Great support!

Thanks for the purchase!

Awesome review!

Feel free to email me again if you need help.

For everybody else, it's clyde-at-ultimatenichefinder.com please.

Is it possible to run this software on a Macbook Pro. Recently I have tried Traffic Travis and it just sucks on a Mac (I use VirtualBox to run windows). Is it possible to make it compatible for Mac? like Market Samurai does?

I think it will be very cool if you can turn it also into mac software :D

It would involve creating something new from the ground up and we'd have to charge you guys 4x more since there aren't enough Mac users to warrant the low price. I'd recommend using a Windows emulator like the following poster mentioned. (thanks EmailMaster)

I've used it on my mac using Parallels windows portal, just like bootcamp.

works fine :)

Great, will test it later when i got home.. :)
Could you kindly share what is the improvements for the competition analysis tool?

Thanks & B.Regards

It was showing inconsistent or just plain wrong Difficulty scores previously for our international users, and users using specific proxies, that problem is no more. :)

It's accurate 95%+ of the time now but I still highly recommend looking at the actual Top 10 sites using free Traffic Travis/Market Samurai/serpIQ as a final check.

Thank you all for the support!

Just tested UNF v1.4.20, but still not happy with the results.

I tested it on a small sample of high traffic and high CPC keywords, and would expect the results to be Hard or Very Hard.

In fact, UNF v1.4.16 (prior to the change in Competitive Analysis) shows them all as Hard.

But UNF v1.4.20 returns the following results,

4 keywords - Very Easy
8 keywords - Easy
2 keywords - Moderate
4 keywords - Hard
7 keywords - Very Hard

Some of the keywords returned as Easy or Very Easy are,
- stock photos images (550,000 searches, USD7.78)
- stock images photos (550,000 searches, USD8.19)
- stock photos and images (550,000 searches, USD8.23)
- images stock (673,000 searches, USD8.06)

Unbelievable! These are high traffic and expensive keywords. Even Google's Keyword Tool mark them as Highly Competitive. But UNF v1.4.20 says they are Easy.

I was very happy with UNF until you changed the Competitive Analysis. I'm guessing that your new version now queries Bing instead of Google, hence we no longer need Google enabled proxies.

Please I'm trying to rank in Google, not Bing. And please bring back the old and reliable Competitive Analysis. I'm happy to play around with proxies, find new fresh ones, and feed them to UNF every 2 to 3 hours. It's a little bit more work but at least I do get good and reliable results.

Right now, the results are just useless to me...

BTW, the new version only runs 5 threads simultaneously. The old version (v1.4.16) runs 50 threads and it WAS fast!

Sorry, UNF v1.4.20 is just slower (than the old version) and the results less accurate and unreliable...

Hi,

It doesn't matter if we query Bing/Google with our new method. Over 300k keywords that we analyzed for both search engines prior to the switch, 95% of the time keyword that appears as Easy on Google, will also appear as Easy on Bing. Likewise for Hard/Difficult keywords.

Like I've mentioned previously, it's accurate 95% of the time and there'll be 5% of the keywords that shows weird results like this. This is the same reason why I recommend people to look at the Top 10 results as a final check. You cannot get FAST and ACCURATE any longer, most of the time it's a compromise between the two, ours is accurate enough to be fast.

Version 1.4.16 was fast indeed, and believe me if we could mantain that we would. (why would I want to slow the software down for no reason?) SEOmoz was quickly banning all the proxies used, while it still worked for our more advanced users like yourself since you guys don't mind finding new proxies every 2-3 hours, for 95% of our users, they're getting failures after failures and couldn't get it to work at all. Plus most of them don't even want to be bothered with finding proxies.

Why Bing instead of Google for a list of 30k keywords?
a) The accuracy is the same, what's hard on Bing is also hard on Google 95% of the time.
b) You don't need to solve two captcha's for every query and spend $60+ on captcha credits to analyze 30k keywords.
c) or wait 5 days to finish analyzing that list of 30k keywords. (utilizing delays instead of solving captcha's like competing software.)

We could switch to Google (we're not) but that would involve waiting 10-15s after EACH keyword analysis, and spending $60+ in captcha solving cost for each 30k keyword run.

Hope that answers your questions.

p/s: 5 threads still makes us the fastest bulk keyword analysis tool out there, 50 threads would be nice but it's no longer viable and is just something we have to live with. and FYI, Google keyword tool doesn't analyze SEO competition, it just shows Adwords competition which is for PPC.

I agree with Clyde. If you accept that you have to closely study the final narrowed version of keywords, then it would not really matter if google or bing results are used (95% of the time). If you are doing thousands of keywords, then it means you are not really doing a tight focused search, so 95% accuracy should be pretty good IMO.

At the end of the day, I always do a top 10 SERP listings analysis. Have to look at each site individually, age, pr, backlinks, anchor text of back links, dmoz, yahoo listings, number of indexed pages, authority vs. sniper, etc. etc. etc. No quick scanner like this one would do such a deep analysis, and such analysis should be limited to a handful of final keywords.

The statement that you said about the same SEO competition level between Bing and Go0gle is definitely not currect. I have many niche sites that rank top in google but rank far behind in bing, and also other niche sites that I'm currently trying to rank on go0gle that are already page 1 in Bing but page 5+ in go0gle..
Bing doesn't have the same SERP algorithm as Go0gle, thus the results vary and it unreliable to base the SEO background on one search engine when trying to rank in the other one..

I'm currently using 10+ private proxies to analyze the competition of my keywords in UNF and it worked just fine until now with no problems.

This is really great software so please make it back as it was...

Thanks!

Hi Clyde,

Thanks, it will be better if you can define High and Low for a newbie like me..:D

High Local Searches >= ?
High CPC >= ?
High OCI >= ?
Low Difficulty <= ?

I assume that the ? will be different for Niche, Micro-Niche and Authority sites as well... Any Guidelines for a newbie to follow before i got enough experience in fine-tuning the criteria myself?

Also, can i know what do you based on for your "Brainstorm Product Ideas"?
Randomly picked? or they had certain guidelines to follow behind before suggesting to user?

Thanks & B.Regards
Appreciate your kind response..;)

You're right and wrong at the same time, they use a different algorithm to sort sites in the SERP, true BUT the level of competition will be the same between the two search engines. The only reason about 5% of the keywords are inaccurate to Google is because Bing's index is not as big as Google's yet. That problem will fix itself over time as Bing catches up with Google's index.

I will give a few examples just so you know I'm not BS'ing:
Keyword "weight loss" with quotes.
Google returns 265,000,000 results.
PHP:
http://www.google.com/search?q="weight loss"&hl=en-US

Bing returns 158,000,000 results.
PHP:
http://www.bing.com/search?q=%22weight%20loss%22&market=en-US

Keyword "cat losing weight".
Google gives 359,000 results.
Bing gives 10,200 results.

Keyword "food to lose weight".
Google gives 508,000 results.
Bing gives 80,900 results.

If you plot a graph of "Results in Google vs Results in Bing" for 300k+ keywords like we did, you'd see the following conclusion:

1. High in Google = High in Bing.
2. Moderate Competition in Google = Moderate Competition in Bing.
3. Low in Google = Low in Bing.

In conclusion, the number of results in Google = the number of results in Bing.

It's impossible to switch it back to the previous version of competition analyzer. Plus, we wouldn't have switched something that was working and spend almost a thousand dollars in programming resources for no reason.

Just 1 month ago, SEOmoz became stricter by limitting queries to their free API to 1 query every 10 seconds. A list of 30k keywords would take 83*3 = 249 hours = 10 days to finish according to this limit. (source: http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/w/page/13991144/Rate%20Limiting)

Who would want to wait that long? I know I don't.

Right now the software analyzes 5 keywords per second so that's 50 keywords every 10 seconds.

50x faster than if we didn't switch to the new system.

I would say CPC of $1+ and 1k+ local exact searches, EASY/VERY EASY difficulty just to start with and work your way up from there. Please click on the "Brainstorm Product Ideas", it takes you to a page where you get to pick keywords on your own.

It doesn't automatically suggest seed keywords.

i just bought unf.
do i need proxies? do i have to provide proxies by myself?

You don't need them necessarily but we highly recommend 5-10 proxies at least if you want to BULK analyze 30k keywords in one run.

You can try scraping for public ones using Proxy Multiply, comes with 7 day trial.

oh and thanks for the purchase! :)

Hey there, I just purchased this tool and love it so far. It does everything I need, quickly too.

I do have one question though, about the monthly search volume #s...

I am not seeing accurate data in these columns. It seems much lower than what I get if I run the same keyword in the Adwords tool. Is it perhaps a weekly figure, and not monthly?

clyde, I want to thank you very much. I've won some great bucks providing keyword research with your tool. Thanks a lot for developing such a great tool. 49$ is the best money I could invest ever.

any trial so i can test if this works for me?:o

You really don't have to think about a trial. It's very cheap, there is no risk. I've bought it few days ago and I've made few hundreds selling keywords. I recommend you :)

What is the "Real Comp"... is that the number of incoming backlinks to the competition or is that the number of pages I need to have on my site?

Hi, it's a monthly figure. Please login to your Adwords account and change the number format to United States. Follow the first part of this link here:
http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1704334

If it's already set to United States, make sure the match-type in UNF under Settings is the same as what you use in the Adwords keyword tool.

If you just now switched it to United States please restart the software and go to New Project.

You're very welcome! Thanks for dropping a review.

A review means a lot to us, especially from a paying user.

Nope, sorry.

That's right! Thanks man!

What is the "Real Comp"... is that the number of incoming backlinks to the competition or is that the number of pages I need to have on my site?

Hi,

That's the real number of competing pages that mentions your exact keyword indexed by the search engine. This picture explains the basic idea behind it: http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/6998/step4r.png

Clyde - that is really inaccurate - i just did that for Fat Loss - and it came up with 87 results - so its easy to rank for? Im sure I did it right as well.

I get 866 REAL Comp. value, and it's showing as Very Hard for me.

Are you sure you have the latest version and the right location and language in Settings? What did you use for Location and Language?

Edit: Did you mean 87 pages instead of results? 87 pages means 870 results since there are 10 results per page.

This number is out of 1k so 870/1000 = Very Hard.

We use this formula in the software:
0 < Very Easy < 200 < Easy < 400 < Moderate < 500 < Hard < 700 < Very Hard < 1k
