"faced a client" - what does that mean? could be a euphemism for something sinsister - either way, sorry to hear about the bad debt.

people who order goods and services, then dont pay when the debt is due are despicable and theres not a lot to be done at your end other than only make the service available to members who have x amount of posts or thanks or rep. but thats going to trim your orders down and whilst it miight reduce your bad debts theres still no guarantee that you'll erase them completely.
