No payout until Friday. It doesn't matter anyway. I think this is one of those things I should have held on to and it will serve as a lesson for the future. Plus the site that I was using is still completely fucked and I don't see any profit coming from this now. The only way this probably would have worked would have been to not tell anyone.

Yes I don't doubt it, but the sites which people here are using probably will not pay. It is more, you guys are going to take down their business because advertisers won't advertise there anymore, no conversions. :/
In the other hand they should run a secured site that affiliates couldn't cheat so they deserve it.

Hats off to you for revealing as much information as you did. Even if you kept this to yourself I wonder if you will/would get paid. 426 page views and 104,674 links visited would have thrown some flags come pay day. Perhaps if you threw some junk traffic to a couple other pages/websites that didn't use this method, to even out the numbers would help.

Seconded.. posts like OP made should have a donate button imho, but even if the idea is shut down by the sites in question it still helps us think that little bit more out the box, which can't hurtLoose lips ........

Well, you can use just about anything that is CPM. Doesn't have to be url shortners.
But, there is always 2 sides to a coin. Heck, adfly says in their terms that no porn sites are allowed, but all my adfly links are to porn posts, and adult affiliate programs.
Been doing that for a long time and they haven't said anything. I don't really give a shit, I haven't made that much with it anyway.
I was wondering, what about ppc? What if I copied the link location of a blacklabelads banner and used that in the img src. That would be like a click, I think?
Also, what about a url randomiser perhaps? Spread it out a bit.

In all honesty, I put the method on here because I felt obligated. I've learned a lot from here so it only seemed that BHW and its members deserved some reciprocity. Might just have to let this method cool off a bit before jumping back on it.

Interesting method, I had a similar idea involving iFrames but it never quite worked out.

Yeah. I think it's officially dead for now. One of the sites I was using literally doesn't exist anymore. The title of the page says "SITE_NAME". It looks like the site never existed. I'm pretty sure when everyone started doing this, all the site owners freaked the fuck out thinking it was a DoS attack.

The biggest issue with this method is the fact of adding more than one url to the page. Cmon' guys, that would look strange and what happens when the company goes to see wtf is going on? This is a very very solid method, and the problem here is.. they're going to tighten security. People have been tossing pay per links in their forum signatures for a long time. Don't be sending 400 page views and 5000 "views" to the link.
You can easily do this so it looks legit with two links. The first link, make it valid and clickable and then put a second link (same url) so if they dont click the valid one you still get the hit. When the company checks out the site.. it looks legit. You can also write a php script to do this for you so they cannot see the code of the hidden link as it's handled serverside.

hi ,i just had a play it seems to work, i set the size on a few images as a test to height "40" width "40" and the images dont load properly, but tehy still counting as being viewed is that normal? i mean if not hidden should they load so you can see them or they blocked it or something? anyway nice method gives me ideas for something else cheers
