I'm making money with method.
I think it's absolutely necessary to do an above average job on your review and answer every question or concern a potential buyer may have without seeming to be selling the product. But the end result of your review must be that the visitor now has all the information he needs to make an informed and intelligent purchase. My conversion rate at the moment is hovering between 17% and 33.33%.
In the very beginning before I updated and improved my reviews, my conversions were non-existent. But after looking at competing reviews and adding bits and pieces of new information I find, finally I had really upscale reviews to link to. Then the sales began to roll in.
So now I'm taking the time to make my reviews better than the best others I can find, or at least as informative and therefore as authoritative. Buyers read it and are sold. They go right to the product and buy because all their questions and concerns have been addressed. This is my experience so far. All that's left for me to do is ramp it up.
