Google manually checking website

Hi guys,

Recently I added a brand new website to my webmaster tools account and have been steadily posting articles for the last 30 days. As the site still gets hardly more than 10 uv a day I am still able to track them. What I found is that Google is manually checking the website every 3 to 4 days.

Is that the normal procedure, do I have smth to worry about.

Alright, smth interesting - the website very first visits came from California and the latest are form the Google Birmingham, UK.

Its impossible for google to check all the sites manually. May be a spider visit would have reflected like that.

Wow - amazed that they are doing this manually! No answers here - but I want to see where this goes. I did read that they are doing 'human' scores on websites - but I am sure this would be via an outsoured premises not an acutal 'G' office. If you were posting articles every day I would expect the google bots to be hitting the site every 3-4 days...waiting to see someone provide a real good answer on this one!

It's the Google bot visiting your site and not reviewing it manually. It will regularly come to your site specially if it's always updated with fresh contents.

What human reviewer would look at a page for 3 seconds? Sounds like a spider to me.

Google bot is come no manually checking instead you have reported any big issue or any complaint etc

3 seconds is not that long. It could be due too loading of the page and whatever else it does while on the page. It may be checking for updated content.

Of course it will stay for more than a second. Google probably checks pages 12332131231 sites a second. So there will be some delay

What's the User-Agent showing? Googlebot works according to it's specifications. If it's a bot, the user agent will be one of these:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)
Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html)
Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)

The bot ALWAYS identifies itself and must obey robots.txt

Well it is quite clear that the visits that came were spiders just checking up on your updated content... google wouldn't manually review your site if it's THAT new nor would google manually come back every few days to check on new sites, that would simpy be impossible...
