really? no one? i'm going to try it on friday :P i was hoping someone could share their experience

Anyone else read that and think logistic support detatchment?

fuk that, i don't see any point/fun in hallucinating and feeling weird.

Why have you decided to do it? all your friends do it?

I'm not going to say do or don't do it.
But think carefully about it, as above, don't just do cos your friends are doing it.

It can really fuck your head up permanently. Every heard the saying curiosity killed the cat? :)

Lol I don't mess with that shit. Why have you decided to try it all of a sudden? You make it sound like you're trying the newest candy bar LOL :D

Are you in the middle of reading the Steve Jobs book? I'm listening to the audiobook at the point where he mentioned that realizing the fruition of the first iPod was akin to an acid trip.....

Most ppl that took it decades ago are mostly burnouts today....

Seriously mate dont doit - give it to me 'll test it and tell you all about it:-p

Be careful or you may end up like this guy.

I have done it, a few times. I prefer shrooms tho. Anyway, remember specially for your first trip that set and setting is important. Be with good friends, take it at home or something like that and don't go outside unless you think it feels good. But wait till it has kicked in good so you can think about it then.

My first trip was awesome, I took it alone and started tripping behind my computer. Later I went to a friend, house were breating, the floor was moving like waves, everything moved symetric.

Tho, try to read some trip reports of other people online, a good site for this is erowid.org

Only trouble with stuff like that is that once you have done it, nothing is ever the same again.

lol

for me

many things have been learned while hallucinating

that was another life tho

I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. Once I experienced a DMT trip, it brought so much truth to this quote: "Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world." - Schopenhauer

Don't get me wrong, I don't condone taking drugs.. but I think if sufficient research is done and one is responsible enough, there's minimal harm.

That crazy "Chuckles" .. crazier now than back in the '60's

The problem with acid is you never know who made that stuff.

Watch Breaking Bad

All kinds of stuff that can really whack you out ... better to do
mushrooms or peyote if you can get them

JQ

Lol, breaking bad is about methamfetamine. That drugs is quiet different from acid. The good thing of acid, it's not addicted, if you never had other hallucinogenic drugs, it could be a long trip for the first time..

I've went through a stage in my early 20s of doing heaps of acid and I have mostly good things to say about it.

I never had hardcore visual hallucinations, a few visual artifacts like textured floors rippling slightly along with the usual coloured lights etc. However the thoughts and thought processes you have are fucking amazing and vastly outweigh any visual effects. I would say that I have had some of my best thoughts and inspirations while on acid and I have awesome memories of the trips I've had.

Socially you have a better experience on ecstasy, but the memories from acid last a lifetime. It is indeed true that you are a changed person after you have done acid (both literally in terms of brain chemistry and figuratively in terms of your personality and perspective) but generally it's a positive thing I think. It will truly open your mind.

One of the most important experiences of my life happened on acid. I was tripping and my non-tripping friend was driving us around, going to beaches and just mucking around late at night. She asked me what I wanted to do with my life; in a total thunderbolt moment of inspiration, the answer "to be creative" came to me, just like that. Acid gave me the total answer to my life's question: not to do or be any one thing in particular, but to approach everything I do from a perspective of creativity, ingenuity and lateral thinking.

The caveats: don't do it if you have any misgivings about it, or if you have negative stuff going on in your life, because that is a recipe for a bad trip. Do it with a trusted friend(s) the first time, preferably one who isn't tripping, in a safe and secure environment. Also don't do it too often - do it only occasionally and savour it. I made the mistake of going overboard and doing 4 1/2 trips in one week once, and it messed my head up for weeks afterwards (depression, mood swings etc) as you might expect. However sparing usage shouldn't knock you too much; I get worse after effects after taking E (the so-called "black Tuesday"). And don't do it just because your friends are pressuring you to do it - it's a highly personal, spiritual and almost religious experience and not to be taken lightly.

I don't do any drugs anymore but I don't regret doing acid one bit.

Take it from someone who was in their early 20's back in the 70's. Sex on acid is a unique experience. Back then it had several trade names. Orange Barrel, Purple Microdot, Mr. Natural, and Blotter.

Several times my good friend Spik and I would sit and look at each other and start laughing histerically. Those that have never taken it will tell you horror stories. I never had the classic "bad trip" that you used to hear about.

I do remember one time when the phone rang and I couldn't catch the damn thing. It kept running around the table. :)

Thing about acid is that you know what is real and not real. If you let yourself get into it then you will have a good experience. If you fight it then you will have a miserable time.
