I don't have the authority to make those decisions, but if I did, I would have done exactly the same as 7878. We discussed privately before posting publicly.
There's no way he could have got out of it. It's not really something that could be repaired. The intent to steal from BHW and then profit from it personally was there, so the only option was a perm-ban IMO. The fact he contributed a lot is a moot point here.
If you have issues with other "scammers", feel free to open a shit list thread and it will be dealt with accordingly by one of the mods.

Zero tolerance for content theft means ZERO TOLERANCE. There are no 3 strikes, no second chances, no mulligans. If you steal from the forum and you're caught you lose your account. I'm sorry you don't find it fair but frankly it doesn't change anything.

I'm thinking it was more than one person behind the "M0g0l" simply from the logistics
of a lot of the posts and the facts (as we now know) of all the 'other' work being done
at the same time - physically impossible for one person IMHO.
