Anybody using No Hands SEO?

Does it take a while before scanning for more pages? I have 3 sites entered as websites and so far (ran it overnight) still see only one page for each domain. still "n" not crawled.

Nope, site crawling is usually the first job that is performed and is performed as part of the posting queue. What version are you using? Trial or paid? Version number, type of application (portable or installed). Have you had any submissions? If so how many whois submissions have there been for these profiles?

It's easy to say "This tool is awesome" when you see all the numbers of comments and trackbacks...

But does it really make many backlinks? In my experience it's a huge no, it doesn't make many backlinks and not quality ones either. You could argue it's good to just have it running because you don't need to do anything anyways, but it's a waste of resources in my opinion.

Has anyone had success with using only this tool? I think I'll post a case study soon..

That would be a resounding YES:
#1 in Google with No Hands SEO Alone

Obviously all the backlinks in the world won't do anything if they have irrelevant anchor texts and are all shitty. You can see that NHSEO is working not by the large number of posts it makes but also by the large number of links it creates. You can check the list of confirmed links to see it is very able to create a crap load of links.

Links are a huge factor in ranking but they are not the only factor. If you are finding poor result maybe look at your site and/or keywords. If one user could get high rankings 2 months ago when the tool was half what it is now it should be so much easier to do this now.

Lots of people keep asking for peoples views and findings with the tool but when they are posted they tend to get ignored. There are lots of people talking about increases in rankings in different sections of the forum, that post is one and the sales thread is another. I'm not trying to have a go just showing you that there are people that have found lots of success with the tool.

Quick question. I installed the latest version (in one directory) with a clean database on my system. The database is now located in the "My Documents" "No Hands SEO" folder.
How can I have multiple instances running with different settings now, like I used to have before the 1.6 upgrade? Before the upgrade I just had to copy the whole folder, change the settings and that was it, but now when I copy the folder it still uses the one database located in the "My Documents - No Hands SEO" folder.
Is there still a way to have multiple instances of NHS running with different settings (for PR and OBL for example)? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting the file. Unfortunately your server is saying 404 file not found.

You can install the portable version for a second instance, the database for this is located in the same folder as the application files.

True this is what the portable version is for. Just make sure that if you are using the portable version to install to different folders in your My Documents folder, for example:
My Documents\No Hands SEO 1\
My Documents\No Hands SEO Client X\

and so on.

If each portable version is in its own separate My Documents folder they will each have their own DB file and you will not have any problems with Windows Permissions or accesses etc.

Sorry I screwed up the link, I fixed it now and for ease it is here also

Now that we can run up to 150 threads. Is there a calculation or a test we can run to find the most efficient amount of threads to run ?
I've gradually increased the amount of threads from 20 up 150 without noticing any problems.

With 20 Threads CPU usage is peaking at 25%.
With 150 Threads CPU usage is peaking at 60%

Does this mean I can run at 150 threads ?

It sounds like your computer can run 150 threads fine but it could be maxing your connection out. If you start to get an inordinate amount of fails try dropping back a bit but at the end of the day if your connection and computer can handle it why not have it at 150.

No probs, I aim to please

V1.6.2 installed on a windows 7 computer at home. I have my second on this license running fine at the office on a vista (I think) machine.

something like 1250 whois posted.

I experimented with loading pages today to the sites stuck with one page . I may end up wanting to do it this way anyway, choosing the pages I want and adding relevant anchor text. For now I've done this and set the pages to not be crawled.

I'll try again tomorrow with some new profiles and see if the noncrawling thing was a fluke.

It would be nice if there was a format when loading the pages text file to include the anchor spintax. In excel I could easily crank out anchor text in many cases based on parts of the keyword in urls. Maybe I should take a look at editing the NHS database.

The quick startup was cool, but I can see it being even more effective after a bit more setup time for some extra tweaks.

Hey whats up. Just wanted to thank everyone for all the education that has been shared. I have learned allot, thanks. I wanted to know if anyone had any problems installing NHS on windows 7, keep getting error, couldn't connect to server - there was an error connecting to server. I manually enter info, shutoff fire walls. Still having problems. Thanks for any info.

Do you mind PMing me a couple of the websites it was struggling to crawl? That way I can see why. Is it possible it is a flash driven site and doesn't have any html links?

What is your connection like? There shouldn't be any problems connecting really as it is only sending and receiving a very small amount of data. Have you tried just loading it over and over? If so how many times?

I sometimes get the error myself and I load it up again and it works fine the second time.

I have a good connection and I tried reload after reload and nothing. I tried loading TBS and I have the same problem, on windows 7 home. I have no problem when I loaded the TBS on my work computer - windows xp.

I also tried using the different setting on windows 7: windows xp, windows vista and still nothing. It seems that windows 7 home is blocking these programs from logging in to the programs NHS - TBS login server.

Thanks

one computer just isn't enough to run this - to really benefit you need 2 is my thinking . cause it grinds through the submissions and the success rate i fairly low .. so to do quite a few sites -- requires you to use both licenses.

I am happy with the purchase overall - because it is hands off - but I can't imagine getting page 1 rankings just using this tool - going to require several -- and this moreso is for the people asking about that.

i would be careful of my adsense account as he may start clicking like crazy on the ads.
