am i correct in thinking that this doesnt create backlinks that it just indexes ones already created?

Would love to learn more...purchased yesterday, set up 7 profiles, ran this afternoon. After about 2 hours it was halfway done! Each profile had between 800 and 1200 to complete.

1) What do you do once it's done? Re-run it? Wouldn't that be bad as there would be duplicate comments?
2) For some reason, I figured this would be a long, drawn out process so I would have some nice and steady link velocity...of course, I suppose as Google finds links naturally it will be a steady link velocity. But, it's worth asking, is this too fast??

The process doesn't end, you will find when it gets to say 1000 / 1000 comments or trackbacks it will search for more and carry on posting. There is no need to re-run as it should be never ending. Make sure you keep up to date with the software.

No no, it creates plenty of backlinks, it just has the ability to get a website indexed very quickly also.

Thanks for the quick response!

I usually just create page profiles. If I want to use the website profile on a new site to get the whois also, how would I still assign unique anchors to each page? Do I just press play and watch until its done, press stop, then go to the profile handler to customize?

Btw, do you have any indexing techniques that you tested out successfully? I am a member of Lindexed so I'll test that out.

Anyone having issue with CPU usage and the version 1.6 ?
I Tried it on different computers and it's using 90%+ CPU all the time (on a quad core), can't even use the tool anymore :(

You can either add the profile and wait for it to crawl the pages or you can add the pages via a .txt file and then use the profile handler to change the anchor texts depending on the page as you see fit.

To be honest pinging usually does it for me just fine which NHSEO does automatically for you (unless turned off) so I generally don't bother with any of these indexing services. Also as you are commenting on blogs that were found in search engines a simple ping will more often than not get the search engines to come and re-index the page, its slightly different to trying to get Web2.0 pages, and the like, indexed.

That was mis-quote, I did not mean to say I would PM you.

If you right-click on your profile (when not posting) and choose re-scan keywords you should see it start working fine.

It's still not working for me, I've tried to re-scan the keywords for a few times but it's still stucked at the comment/trackbacks searching part..

What does the log say? It should be telling you what it is (trying) doing.

For some reason it's spidering pages not in my domain.
I have added /buy/ to my exclude list yet they are still being submitted to trackback/comment sites as everything in my /buy/ directory redirects to affiliate sites however the software is also posting pages such as mydomain.com/somepage.html where somepage.html doesn't even exist on my site yet it does exist on the affiliate site that scripts in the /buy/ directory redirect to.

Can't get it to work correctly, I must be doing something wrong :) My profiles do not save upon restarting, when I do start, often get the Threads Setup hang. I do run as admin and the database file is not read-only.

Do I have to install any things before running NHSEO?

Thanks much!

Yes i run as admin and the file is not write-protected ;)
im using the Trial version from your site.

Try copying the folder to your My Documents folder, this should sort it out. It is likely a permissions problem, this is not present in the Full version since the V1.6 update.

It spiders all pages that you have on your website, even if the page does not exist you will have a link for it somewhere on there and so it is getting indexed by NHSEO. Just use the profile handler to remove these pages and then set the remaining pages as crawled and you won't see them reappear again.

You only need .NET 2.0 installed but it is unlikely to actually load up without it. You probably have two instances of it running when you add the profile, this will not work you need to make sure there is no copy running before loading up another. If you are unsure if you have NHSEO running in the background try restarting your computer.

Thanks much!

hey jimbob i have a trackback aa list. Where do I plug this in?

Settings tab => Add and Block Lists => "Add Target URLs" control

Hi, please can you help me out - im having massive issues unfortunatly.
I have dl latest 1.6 and followed instructions to move my db into my documents but i was still getting no profiles in my new version. after ages of fiddling around, i cannot now log into the program and get login details not found etc although i can go to user area on website and use these credentials to login?

I think im going to have to delete the whole thing and start again but i dont want to waste an instance of it and be able to run on only one machine. Its really messing up my c drive now and id love anyones advice please.

EDIT: ok so with some fiddling, refreshing and rebooting etc i have managed to load the program and it logs me in automatically however the profiles are still not showing? db3 file has kilobyte weight to it so its not empty/corrupt/unreadable etc etc

Great tool though when i had previous version and very successful posting!! :)

hi
I definitely do not have a page on my site with that name, what seems to be happening is the program is hitting my redirect script, being redirected to the new website and adding that page to my domain.
i.e. script visits my site.com sees a link to mysite.com/buy/redirect.html which takes it to someothersite.com/product.html then the software adds mysite.com/product.html and starts submitting it to blogs etc.
I have added /buy/ to the block list so it shouldn't even be visiting those links right?
I can send you an example of one of my sites so you can run it and see the log if you wish, it just seems to have problems with any sort of redirect script

I've got it working by re-installing it and I just bought it just now.

But the thing is my anti-virus doesn't likes some blogs that it scraped to post comments/trackbacks to, is there's any way to scan those blogs before posting a comment or trackbacks to them?

Also, if I posted a comment onto a blog a while ago with some other tools, will NoHandsSEO still posts a comment to it and can I'm now using it on my laptop, can I transfer it over to my VPS?

Thanks.

No Hands SEO should not "really mess up your C drive" as it only has access to the DB and the folder it sits in. If you are experiencing other issues with your system it could be that that is affecting NHSEO, it is highly unlikely to be the other way round.

If you followed the steps in the blog post to copy your old database over your new one there is no reason it would not copy over your profiles and settings as everything in the tool is saved to the database file. When you copy the db file over it copies everything, if this has not happened it means it was either not copied over correctly or it was corrupted whilst copying. Either way you should still have your original file sitting in your old install folder, just copy over again and it should work (unless corrupted).

I am not saying you have a page on your site such as that I am saying you have a link to a page with that name on your website, very different things. If you add that string to your block list it will not ADD another page containing that bit of text, if the page is already in your list it will not remove it. You need to remove unwanted pages from your page list also.

An example shouldn't be needed I have seen this same thing many times now and it always comes down to just needing to remove the pages you don't want backlinks to and then add to block list.

Your AV scanner can be totally disregarded when using NHSEO as it is not running anything on the websites it is just downloading the text of the webpage. As it doesnt run anything no JavaScript, Flash or anything like that can infect your computer. Adding a virus checker to the tool would be pointless and add lots of system resources to it.

There currently isn't a way to prevent posting to a blog where your comment already is as it could be somewhere else on the blog other than the page you are leaving a comment on. If you have only installed it to 1 computer so far you should be able to run it on your VPS fine.

Thanks! Got it working

Good stuff

Just to reconfirm, my computer won't get infected when posting comments too right? and do you mean that I can only transfer my license once?

Thanks
