Steve Jobs Passed Away (Official Thread)

Oh, we eulogize Jobs after the fact, but where was the love beforehand? It's not as if he died, and then became a visionary genius. The missing factor not mentioned here, in terms of how Jobs' example relates to IM, is that his success is a complex of both innovation (Apple, Mac, iPhone), and tweaking (iTunes, iPod, iPad). His PCs and smart phone were game changers that introduced something new to the scene.

But his enhancements to other, already existing concepts are just as impressive---there were tablet devices before iPad, for example, but Jobs invented the best uses and marketing pathway to create value in the product for the masses. This is an example to us BH folks, who have read about or tried a gazillion tactics for making money. Instead of complaining about the "dead" techniques or "too newbie" an ebook somebody just shared, why not look at it with fresh eyes, and give it the jazzed up makeover no one else thought of?

Always remember before the millions and billions, there was just Jobs, Wosniak, and a garage in 1976. It took him 5-6 long years to make millions "overnight" with Apple II. Are any guys here griping because nothing has happened with your IM dreams in 5 or 6 months? Get a Grip! Acquire the time horizon of a real entrepreneur, and the patience that goes with it.

Frankly, you may have to make nothing, or lose money, for 5 or so years to finally create your own little Apple kingdom. Apply just a bit of the vision, action and fortitude exhibited by jobs, in lean times as well as the fat times, and you will achieve your own measure of real success.

RIP Mr. Jobs, you showed marketers the way for 35 years.

Really the fact that anyone gives a shit about a fucking CEO's death shows just how emotionally entrailled capitalism and the sedative effect electronic toys have on the plebeian dilettante in Western society.

RIP

Well Jobs, thank you for presenting me with a profitable marketing platform. May you rest in overpriced technology heaven.

Really wanna add my condolence, I actually never had any apple product but i really felt bad about his departure.

Steve we owe you everything since you saw the future in PARC when all Xerox could see was a failed way to sell Xerox machines! Now if you just had paid more attention to the Ethernet cable running through the facility we could have had the Internet sooner!

R.I.P Steve Jobs .we lost a great genius who changed the technology world bright fully

I've watched a documentary on CNN just like 8-12 hours before he died, I was really really inspired, he had ups and downs, and made it to a very high point.

Steve will always be remembered.

RIP.

He was brave enough to believe he could change the world, talented enough to do it.

RIP Steve.
