I posted it here on purpose - to help the noobs. It's all pretty basic - but it does work, and it can make a lot of money if done properly. Could have posted it in Exec but that defeats the object of trying to help

can i use this method for 6 weeks with amazon products or other CPA products and then add Ads3nse below header? will this harm or get me banned?

In many SEO lessons/ebooks they always mention "get links from relevant sites" and people have always translated this into link exchanges but google alerts twist by you is a good way of getting hot on the spot links from really relevant pages without waiting for a webmaster to reply to a link exchange request if he even replies. But your method is faster and also gives one way links.
Now adding my own twist on this
You can always look at the left sidebar on google search (after searching) and show only blogs that got indexed in the past 24 hours or past week to get a bunch of recently posted blog posts to start with before google alerts start ringing.
Selecting discussions will give you forum urls and yahoo answers and all other types of pages that you can still post your website on.
You can also use xrumer / or manually / post questions related to the niche and wait a day or so then answer these questions with a link to your site (using manual spinning in both question and answer) and you get your post looking more legit to stick and higher conversion too because you posted to answer someone's post.

Adsense is a waste of time with this.
As the traffic is so targeted, you'll make a LOT more if you're getting paid per sale than per click.
It will convert very well and after a while people will naturally start linking to your site as it will be in their mind after seeing it on a forum/blog/wherever.
It's all about the direct traffic initially, but after a while you'll get a ton of links and traffic from other sources.

It depends how quickly you can build a site really.
You should easily be able to get: a niche researched (or just copy me and use weight loss), some popular products to promote (you could do something like laptops and link to amazon which is easy to get accepted in), a site built (an hour if you know what you are doing), some content on there (especially if you borrow it from elsewere) and Google Alerts setup... all in under a day.
Once you've done that, spend as much or as little time replying to posts as you can. I'd recommend an hour per day of solid work, at least.
If it's profitable, scale it up. If it's not, move on to a new niche as this definitely DOES work, it's just finding out what works and what doesn't.

Or if you're a total noob like me, you could host it a blogger or tumblr or hell squidoo. Add some personal post like how bad you're day was then post about your product and tell how much it had help you. IMO, makes it look more genuine that it did help you. OR, you could make some sort of journal like if it's weight loss, you make a couple of post that tracks your weight. Like:
Week 1: I lose this much, bla bla bla. I did this and did that and everything was about this and bla bla. Weight loss: 1kg. Total Weight: -10kg skinny as hell.
Week 2: ....
Week 3: ....
Week 4: I see that many are asking what my routine is, I could but I'm too busy losing weight. I could recommend you to this product though. This is the shit!
Best of all, you could edit the date and time of post. I'm pretty sure there are programs/ebooks out there that have their member forums. Most would probably have a journal or testimonial section there. Copy paste away. There was this penis enlargement forum and people were posting their daily progress hah! Just my 2 cents, throw in your ideas.
Question: I'd imagine though that if you don't really need to rank then maybe you could just copy articles.

This wouldn't work, no, as it looks like you are directly promoting a product.
By linking to an "impartial" review site, it's far less likely to get flagged by mods as it will look like you've innocently found the site while browsing for info yourself and are just trying to help.

Does it have to be on a .com domain? If so can it be run on a Wordpress site or will we achieve better, faster results on a Wordpress self hosted site?
