Hi,

I would say that I have intermediate SEO skills in ranking sites. Some stuff I have been able to get on page one and others stuck on 3 or 4.

I will say that I have only worked with one EMD and that's the one on page 1 right now (pos. #5)

So I'm asking for your opinions on this one. I plan on making this site a CJ.com affiliate site. So I will basically have a bunch of product posts with a simple About, Privacy and Terms pages.

I just want to know if this would be worth the time.

Here is as screen shot of the competition Traffic Travis gave me.

Thanks for any feedback.

if you have an emd for this then i would go for it.

sometimes it is hard but its not impossible and with an emd its just a matter of time.,

Thanks for the input. I'm happy to hear that you think it would be worth it. The age of those domains, and the fact that they are authority sites in the industry had me second guessing.

I will say though that the domain is 5 words long (talk about longtail :p ) and so I'm hoping that will help me too since I will be optimizing for all 5 instead of the 2 or 3 that the sites seems to display in their titles right now.

Know of any good .com offers right now? I was going to use 1and1 but after reading the shit list thread no thanks.

This looks like a subpar term (eg easier than most)
Why the fear?

haha, in my eyes I know who the competition is so my brain was having a hard time getting past that. It's the exact reason why I wanted an outside opinion on the matter. Plus, it's a seasonal term and so I have about 1 month exactly to get it ranking to make money from it ;)

Nice keyword as you already found an EMD for that so do not waste time.I am running 2 EMD now and waiting for next one

Took me the better part of the day to find it too, I need to improve my ability to find these domains.

Using: Google KWT, Exact searches of course, SEO quake (on page SEO) and finally Traffic Travis. Takes a long time to run one "option" through everything.

IMHO it will be a piece of cake to hit #1 with EMD

Remind me the difference from BL and BLS?
BL to the URL and BLS to domain?

Your confidence boosts mine :D

Registering it right now.

P.s for everyone: used coupon HOTNCOLD with namecheap to save a little $.

BL to the URL and BLS to domain?

Yes.

BL = Number of backlinks to that specific page
BLS = Number of backlinks to whole site

exact match with the right backlinks and good articles will get you on the front page.. Having said that the recipe I just outlined can work for non exact match domains.

Ummm. Did anyone look at the aged sites, or the backlinks for them? Not trying to be a downer here as it could go either way. I for one would give it my best. After all what have you got to loose?

Okay, that's what I assumed looking at the numbers, thanks.
imo, to get past the top 3 it could be tough.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. However, I just noticed something funny with the number 1 guy.

The title is somewhat relevant obviously as he's number 1 but the url has the complete opposite word in it.

Example: "guy shoes are cool" is what I want to rank for.

He's ranking for it right now with the url saying: "girl shoes are cool"

Hopefully that helps me in the long run.

Right, that's what was turning me off too. But if I loose it's about 1 day and $9. If I win, it could be one of my best sites to date. The risk is worth the reward for sure, and since everyone is on the fence with saying "ya' or na' " to ranking it I have to try at least.
