Anybody using No Hands SEO?

I just ran broken link checker and I don't have any dead links. I do have .php redirects for cloaking affiliate links. Is that the problem maybe?

Is it linking to these redirects? How the crawler works is it looks for all <a tags and then extracts the href attribute. If the link doesn't have the correct http://domain etc it adds it. If there is a link to a page on another page it crawls it.

If you wish me to look at it I don't mind, would be easier than guessing to be honest. Also if you do PM me your website address please also PM me a couple of links that No Hands is finding that don't exist.

I can't PM yet, I don't have 15 posts unfortunately.

It's linking things like

mysiteurl | about-me| ?share=stumbleupon

Sorry I have to use "|" to post this, since it won't let me use the code brackets or post urls.

I believe that is coming from the sharedaddy widget.

Another example, it's really hard to trick this "moderation system" on these forums, let's see if hitting enter before / works

mysiteurl
/gp
/dmusic
/mp3
/player
/ref=sa_menu_mp3_acp1
/182-9370438-9918926

That link is coming from my amazon widget banner.

To be honest it is probably easier if you just email support AT nohandsseo.com without spaces and just send the URL you are having problems with. That way I can see exactly what is happening and would be able to give a better explanation.

I'll keep an eye out for it.

I was away for about a week and when I got back I checked No Hands SEO, and while I was gone it built hundreds of links for all the sites and pages I had put up.

Thanks for such great software! This is doing great for me.

Hey jimbobo, really enjoying using NHSEO which now forms a nice corner of my overal SEO efforts. I have a couple of suggestions to help if you don't mind;

1. It would be really helpful to delete confirmed urls from a profile. The reason for this is that I like to extract all confirmed links every couple of days and do some indexing work on them. When I do this I do not want to delete the whole profile, simply zero the links so when it runs again for a further couple of days the new confirmed links can be managed in terms of indexing - at the moment they remain and starting up the profile again simply adds the new ones - it gets messy.

2. Something abit more substantial perhaps....what would take this to the next level is being able to set up projects which are able to be run indendent of others. I would like to be able to scrape some nice targeted comments for a particular url I am targeting and have the comments appended to that project and url - this way I can see that moderated comments would be much easier to get through and would help laser guide your links to comments which get approved.

3. Is it possible to set up something so that comments are only left on unique domains? I noticed that some of my more close keywords are finding the same pages.

Cheers.

Hi Jimbobo,

Just a quick question, if you don't mind:

I have all .net framework and updates installed

I am running your tool about 24 hours now

There are zero, zilch, nada "confirmed links"

any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Dude - I think the writing is on the wall already (#735)....you are unlikley to see NHSEO move your websites ranking on its own unless the keyword is extremely low competition - this is a tool which you will need to combine with other link building methods to see the results you are looking for. This is no bad reflection upon the tool - quite the opposite actually. As will the most powerful of tools in the marketplace they alone generally will not pull your site to #1 rankings, that will be achieved through employing a variety of techniques - you might want to manage your expectations if you are not doing any further link building work on your site....

How are your settings? do you have OBL's set to anything other than '0' and are you limiting your PR?

I find that if you want good quality pages to comment on go for a 75 OBL setting and leave the PR at 0.

I have just purchased this product and been using for the last few hours, very impressed.

I have already got about 600 links confirmed!

Makes my life much easier.

i never said it was a bad thing. There was no negative connotation in my post, as I was happy it was ranking 735 with doing absolutely nothing. I want to see my highly optimized, newish blog move up a little with close to 0 effort. After a few weeks of using no hands seo, i will see the power it has completely by itself, and then I will be able to implement it with the rest of my seo tool set.

I just noticed that after shut down of NHSEO it lost all created bl and reset comment amount (there is 100 keywords, and soft showing only 22 for all 5 projects, I lost only BL from those 5 projects), any idea what happened ?

I think you misinterpreted my comments - I am not having a dig at you at all and didnt for a moment think you were being negative. I was just trying to point out that NHSEO is a great tool but used in isolation unless ultra uncompetitive keywords are targeted wont get you on the front page - best of luck with the rankings.:D

oh ok. i was like, how could this guy be mad? I'm just doing a test on a pretty noncompetitive keyword and want to see how far i go with doing nothing ahhah. I will give everyone a little update next week. I have a feeling things are going to be pretty good.

so far the program seems really solid. if this was added to an SEOer's arsenal, it is probably worth the money. Time will tell. BHW ftw :)

Isnt your OS Windows 7?
If yes, then run NoHandsSEO as an adninistrator. This should fix your issue.

This really sucks! With so many people saying good things, I have no choice but to spend the money I was going to use to buy AMR to buy this instead. Oh well, I just have to wait another month.

1) This could probably be done with a dated search for confirmed links as opposed to removing them from the DB, I will look into this as you are not the first person that has asked about resetting the tracking figures.

2) Can this not be done with the custom comments file in the Advanced Add/Edit window? Maybe I am missing something here but I would think it would be perfectly possible with this. If not it is possible to run multiple instances of No Hands SEO on the same computer whilst still using just one of the machines up on your licence. Just make sure you are running each instance from a different folder.

3) I actually have a unique domain posting option in my list of jobs for the next feature update, it might make it into a smaller release though.

Hi Jimbobo,

It is unlikely to be the .NET framework, if it is running chances are your .NET is fine. Are you using public proxies? If so that is probably it, if not it could well be your keywords. Lots of keywords, for one reason or another, just don't produce many links. You may find that in the next 24 hours you get 100 links, it can be annoyingly random at times.

Also it is important your anchor texts is valid spintax and that the different permutations are not too long. Do you have automated link checking enabled in the settings? Have you tried using the Link Checker to check all unconfirmed links for your profile?

If you feel everything mentioned above is correct I would suggest you email support AT nohandsseo.com or PM me your website address, keywords and anchor text exactly as you entered them into the tool. Do not post these here though.

Alternatively make sure the app is not installed to the Program Files folder, this folder has funny access needs and seems to be the route of these problems. I am going to change the installer to reflect this note.

I'm sorry :)
