Couldn't agree morePound for pound saffron is more expensive than gold
It's very profitable. Add me on Skype : FlipaamasterCoincidently, I was recently seeking saffron oil and found that it is INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE here in Cheese Land. Upwards of 30euro for 1/2 litre! And that is wholesale prices for the real stuff.
I've never really thought about getting into this, but after seeing this posting and doing a little thinking on it, I'd be willing to maybe get my feet wet.
I can't pm you yet because of my post count, but if you pm me, I'll give you my Skype and maybe we can see where this leads.
Take care and hope to hear from you.

Ebay is good.. Your own website can do as good if SEOd well... and yes people still buy Saffron. I use it my selfwhere and how can i resell it mate?
anybody this days buy such flowers?
I could be wrong, but I don't think so. He's not talking about the saffron flower, but the spice "saffron" which is a derivative of the flower itself. It's a reddish colour in it's raw forum (see attached image), but turns yellow when cooked. In Orient, especially in China, the restaurants will add saffron to their rice to make it yellow (for people who want yellow rice, which actually don't exist).anybody this days buy such flowers?

It's medical benefits are numorous not to mention to help control diabetes (which was why I was looking for saffron oil). Just some of the other benefits (quoted from the web): Research indicates that a few compounds in saffron do promote anti-cancer activity. It also helps in stimulating the secretion of stomach acids which supposedly assists in the contraction of muscles, for instance, as in the uterus.
Anywayz...I hope this guy contacts me as I'm very much interested in this. There's a HUGE market for it. At least here in Holland.
