I tend to go for a mixture depending on the mood I am in, I tried to get justprotect.me the other day for a safe sex website (sadly it was taken), though I also have a selection of EMD's, random brands, random words...

With social the domain is not as important as with Made For Adsense.

I am now away for a few days, and will take some time outta this holiday to write day 17-20 and post these on my return!

Just wondering if anyones site reviews products.. and if so have you included affiliate links to the products you're reviewing in each post? Everything I mention is available on Amazon...

Also, how important is finding a theme? My site is fitness related and I couldn't find anything I liked so I just used the standard one...

Hey Crashed.

Don't really have any questions or anything. I just wanted to thank you for making this post. I am a bit of a late comer to the thread, and so I am currently starting from day 1, but from the skim reading I have done through the post, it looks like its all gold.

Although it would be cool to earn some money in 30 days, to be honest I am not too concerned about how much money I make. I am only interested in learning as much as I can, and getting some experience under the belt.

Man,I can't believe how much bad luck I'm having with this challenge.Seems like every time I get to do a task it either takes a couple of hours or I can't do it.I had Thesis Theme but I couldn't edit the footer and find the privacy policy code for day 4.I went to the wordpress site and I installed a simple but good looking theme and now I want to introduce the privacy policy code from day 1 in the footer but I don't have <div id="footer">.The closest is this :

Then I have to see how to add that damn google webmaster tools code again since I changed the theme and finally go to day 4 and find the privacy policy code which of course isn't there.

I didn't have the <divid="footer"... either and just did it in the closest thing to it, so try and that and if it doesn't work play around with it!

Good luck it, and keep persisting! I just started implementing ads today, and I'm so excited... I'm getting a couple of hits a day from twitter and I'm confident that I'll be able to increase it.

One other question though... has anyone added a plugin which allows users to subscribe to their site for new posts? I know we're not relying on search engine ranking but actual quality material, but surely having a subscription feature would increase the chances of people coming back?

I don't understand what you mean? I wouldn't be charging for subscriptions? And I'm just talking about sending an email to users who want it, as regularly as they want, when the site is updated...

I misunderstood; I thought you were thinking about charging. Adding an option to opt in to emails is a very good plan... but more work and maintenance to get up and running.

Could someone please explain to me the differences/benefits of using the "keywords" feature of All in One SEO, and if this has the same role as "tags" do in Wordpress?

For my first few posts I haven't used All in One SEO at all but I'm starting to use it now, and wasn't sure if "keywords" and "tags" should have the same entries or not...

Also, thought I'd give a little bit of info on my experience so far on the crashed challenge. It was great up till the very end (the end as in me giving up), crashed is great at what he does, and he is always willing to help whenever you have questions. Through many discussions and conversations, I learned a lot and well I had a great time, if anyone else is still in doubts, you should talk to crashed! He's a great person.

Getting on well with this method so far. Been following this on a brand new site (setup specifically for this challenge) for about two weeks or less.

Already getting about 10-15 visitors per day and coming up for a few long tail terms on goog.

Also got about 20 days worth of articles scheduled - I have been buying some and writing some myself.

No income yet, but it's early days.

Yep, just use your initiative! You want to try and spread your posts out and make it look natural though.
