The Idea: Getting as many visitors to your website from Craigslist to click on adsense advertisements.

Tools Needed: A craigslist account (or hire people to post for you), a domain (.info is fine), hosting (free is ok), a basic design (oswd, if you want), an adsense account, and a gmail account.

Step 1: Use your Research Tool program of choice and find current very popylar "physical" items that people are purchasing. For example I used "iPad 2". Once you have found your niche product to use, write it down.

Step 2: Register a domain that is relevant to your niche website. Example: www.MyFreeiPad2.info

Step 3: Select a psuedo name... preferably a female. Example: Brandi Marks

Step 4: Upload a nice template and customize it as if a teenager would of made the site. Remember to use the name (example: Brandi Marks)

Step 5: Create a story of why you having to SELL your very popular product (example: iPad 2).

... an example such as My uncle bought me an iPad 2 for my birthday, but my parents are very conservative and will not let me keep my iPad 2. I'm so freaking sad about this, I really can't stand my Dad. I really want this new MP3 player and it's only 30 bucks. So I want to sell this iPad 2 for $30, that is about how much it costs right?

Step 6: Create a Email account (try to use the psuedo name... example: Brandi Marks)

Step 7: Go to TinyURL (or any other URL shortener service) and create a short URL for your domain

Step 8: In your Gmail Settings, go to the Vacation Reply part. Setup an Email like this:

Subject: re: Craigslist $30 iPad2

Message: Hey there!

Thanks for contacting me about my iPad 2. I freaking hate that I have to sell this, but like I said my parents won't let me keep it. I have uploaded some pictures of my iPad 2 on my website, you can click here to check out the pix.

-Brandi

Step 9: Create a post (or hire someone to do it) in the 'For Sale' section and title it something like : My iPad 2 for $30.00

Step 10: In the post say something similiar to your Gmail Vacation Reply, such as this was a gift that you cannot keep and you want to sell it for $30. Act naive and think it only sells for $30 or so. Doing this will make the prospective buyer think you have no clue how much a steal this is, and will force them to inquire!

Step 11: Put 3 adsense ads on your website. Preferably the FIRST part of the website they see when the site opens. You would be amazed of how many people will click on the first link they see, without even knowing what they did. Example: Put an advertisement on the left, right, and the absolute top of the site.

Conclusion: The whole process took me about 30 minutes to setup. It cost me $1.99 for the domain. After 3 days I received 159 emails, and out of that 49 went to the site and 19 clicked on the advertisements. I put in strong content about "ipad 2" so EVERY advertisement was about the iPad 2. Those keywords averaged $0.95 per click.

So 30 minutes of work and $1.99 brought me in $18 in 3 days, which is $6/day. If this keeps up that is $180/mo without even a sweat. Duplicate this 10 times over and your talking serious money!

If you liked this, think about a "Thanks". If it worked for you, reply back with your results!

Good method. Only thing I'd add is download ThunderBird (free by Mozilla) and run your gmail through that so you can put a delayed auto response. That way maybe you set it so they get your reply in 35 minutes instead of instantly - looks less spammy.

If this works its golden, when I put my iphone on a foreign auction site I got about 50 replies a day from interested buyers. Would blogger work? In what ways could it backfire ? With backfire I mean, could this hurt my adsense account?

American people are all naive like that or what ?

Well, it has more to do with the means than anything else. CL is gold because it's full of normal, average ppl looking for some deals and, well believe it or not, there are ppl offering stuff for free or for a cheap price genuinely on CL. The bigger the city the more likely, whether it's naive or not it might work. Anyhow good job OP!

You would amazed at how many people clicks on links... it still surprises me. You have to think outside the box when you make adsense sites (and the same goes for CPA) .. that is what I have learned.

I create a website and think of myself as the average U.S citizen. I do not think about creating a site with 20+ year of IT experience.

hhhmmm, i wouldnt try that personally until the OP gets paid :)

Pretty nice method, could also try cpa although not sure how effective that would be :D

This seems like a great idea but what is the possibility of getting banned from Adsense for this?

i might try this, could i get banned on adsense though?

i also have problems with getting ghosted on cl alot, and i feel like this type of post would get deleted quickly

If your using adsense for basically sending cl visitors to click ur banners ull def lose ur adsense acct before ur first payout, just my 2cents but i wouldnt risk it personally since adsense's payout delay is so long

How do you figure? Your sending them to look at "Your" Ipod your selling... not "Asking" them to click the ad's :P

If they click the ads it's because they want to...

just saying....

Clever idea OP.

It seems a little risky (in getting your Adsense account banned), but you can definitely modify it and use it for some CPA offers...

Why would it be risky? Your not violating Adsense TOS.... unless your saying "hey ill sell you this cheap if you go to my site and click my ads" .... lol

What a bunch of fckn horseshit this forum is turning out to be.

Posting $30 ipads on CL? LMAO yeah right, your lucky if your ad sticks for more than 2 minutes. This is something that would have worked 5+ years ago.

OP, you should be lined up against a wall. Noobs, dont waste your time with this, it will not work.

Maybe your ad copies are not convincing enough, i agree $30 is a load of shit and will send up red flags to readers.

Try adjusting the price of the ipad to something more realistic, and make your ad copies more believable and you will get interest.
