Received Reply from "loveday" and we had a short discussion on the terms.

Proposition:
2000 FB Likes for $35.00
He will take $10.00 up front, and the rest paid when I see results.
He acknowledges the payment, says he will rest for few hours, and the order fully completed within 24 hours.

I messaged him 12 hours ago, advising to refund the money or start the order, or at the very least reply to me so I can know if he will scam me so I can move on to another seller. He has not replied since. He has been online multiple times. No refund has been provided.

A few points:
I accepted his low offer, because I figured he was just trying to build up his rep/itrader and he already had good itrader points.

Not only did I lose the $10.00, he has possibly made me now lose a $500 contract because I had an obligation to deliver results by today and don't think I will be able to meet it.

I do not care about the $10.00, just want to see him permanently banned so that nobody else gets screwed like I did.

Any further questions I would be happy to respond to, but I will be out of house for 10 hours.

Next time don't buy from peoples with 10-20 posts or new members...usually they are scammers...

I understand you must be pissed at losing $10 however I cannot
see how he can be held responsible for your loss of a $500 contract.
It was you who made that commitment to a third party while
not having the necessary engine in place to fulfil your obligation.

Business 101, Don't make promises you can't keep.

I am not pissed at losing the $10.00, I am upset that he flat out lied and stole from me.

Any "middleman" or "broker" puts themselves in the same situation with every deal they ever make. I have to wholeheartedly disagree that Business 101 is don't make promises you can't keep. I think, if the deal is done right, with proper communication, it is perfectly acceptable to make promises you can't keep.

My client and I agreed if I deliver the results by end of Today, I get paid. If not, I do not get paid. They keep the money, the keep the results. They are not out anything, and therefore it is of no major consequence if I don't deliver. We are both under the same understanding. I promise I can deliver, but if not, I just simply receive no payment for work done.

A broken "promise", yes, but in the end they get the results (just slightly delayed) and I keep my integrity as an honest salesman.

We have no control over Facebook, Wordpress, Google etc. But every day we see people offering services for Likes, Backlinks, Increased Rankings. Can we truly guarantee those results? No. We guarantee them because our past experiences tell us that it shouldn't be a problem to deliver the results. We as sellers take calculated risks, as do the buyers knowing that the seller can't be 100% responsible if they can't deliver.

But this is different.
He didn't even TRY to deliver.
He didn't communicate with me.
He didn't offer any refund.
He took the money and ran.

I'm really sick of scammers. There MUST be an aggressive action from payment processors towards them. I have been scammed before for $75

@ the Op, I don't understand how you can possibly stand up as a
businessman and say
I think, if the deal is done right, with proper communication, it is perfectly acceptable to make promises you can't keep.
Surely that's a joke.
I promise I can deliver, but if not,
What is that supposed to mean?
There is no promise there at all.
I don't know what kind of contracts they make in Canada but that would get screwed up and put
in the bin and I would be laughed out of the meeting if I tried to present that
in the UK.
Promises and guarantees have no place in the marketing arena there are too many external factors
and variables to even consider making them.
I commit to completing the work set out in the schedule, nothing more.

In your original post you stated
he has possibly made me now lose a $500 contract
He may or may not be a cheap $10 scammer but you cannot possibly hold
him responsible for your contract that responsibility lies solely with you.
You outsourced the work to a low post, new member with no track record
or testament and without a contingency. Bad business if you ask me mate.

He did state that he would have the job completed in 24 hours but by your
own words
it is perfectly acceptable to make promises you can't keep
Just because someone shows online it doesn't mean they're at their computer.
If he is a cheap $10 scammer he will be punished.
Being banned from BHW will be the most expensive $10 he ever scams.

I don't think kickflip is holding him responsible for the $500 that's obviously not fair, think he is just pointing out that it goes deeper than $10, the guy not keeping to his side of the bargain - and not even communicating has caused him a major issue.

I think it's worse because the guy took a deposit - so he was obviously very keen on making sure kickflip didn't renege on his side of the bargain, that makes it slightly worse in my opinion that the seller has not communicated at all.

Hopefully he will come here and fight his corner.......

Let's stay on topic.

Keep the posts relevant to the issue at hand. The seller took money for work and has not delivered according to the OP - the seller has been contacted for his rebuttal, and until he replies here all the speculation in the world means nothing.

Like I said, he has the standard 48 hours.

Hello Mods, Obviously Loveday has been online Multiple times since this event. I have PM'd him informing his of his Shitlist status. Mods have contacted him. I have filed Paypal dispute. He is not trying to argue the facts here, and hopefully we can move on with the judgement.

Thank you.

I got scammed by this guy almost 2 weeks ago.

I needed 2000 facebook likes for a contest, and he PMed me offering to provide the likes for $50. We spoke on skype, and I paypal-ed him the full amount, deciding to give him the benefit of the doubt as he had some positive iTrader. Also, I felt his rates were cheap, and at that time I was desperate for my contest likes, as the dateline was 4th July.

After receiving payment he said he would begin work immediately, but after 2 days, I didnt receive a SINGLE LIKE from him. A few days later, I finally caught him online on skype, and he told me he went for root canal surgery and would start work within the hour.

Another 3 days go by and he not a single LIKE was received. He hasnt come online since then, and I dropped him some offline messages trying to get him to refund my money.

Today I came onto BHW to try to PM him to refund my money before filing a paypal dispute, but realized he was banned. Did a quick search and found this thread.

I really feel for you OP, although I didnt lose a 500$ contract or anything, by the time I realized he wasnt planning on delivering the Likes, it was too late for me to buy 2000 likes - no seller I contacted could deliver the Likes in such a short amount of time.

So he basically screwed me out of 50$ and a contest win. (Would have won a sweet $300)

This will be my first time filing a paypal dispute, hope I get my money back.
