A Google +1 Bot...?

Hey everyone,

I am not too clued up about Google's "+1" thingamajig but will there be any S.E.O benefits for site's/pages that are +1'ed? If there were benefits maybe someone could create a bot with rotating anon proxies...? It was just a random idea I just came up with, I just +1'ed a site for the first time lol. I'd imagine someone with uBot could do this relatively easy, if I had it I would have it shared on here already .

Oh ok, so people have to be signed in to their gmail accounts before the +1 would work? And are site's with alot of +1 ranked higher in Google that sites that don't have as many? I know this is fairly new but maybe it's something us BlackHatters could tackle... Have a bot that automatically creates randomised gmail accounts with rotating proxies, then have the bot search for keywords relating to your site, and when google comes across any of your site's pages the +1 button is clicked. Then the bot goes to the other randomised account with a different proxy and then does the same thing..

I figured that out after typing in inurl:mysite.com and clicking on a few +1 buttons. I guess someone is going to come along and take advantage of the invulnerability (the spamming) and end up making Google taking it off...

I dont like that +1 button and i dont know why google try to copy facebook so much, this whole internet deal will be soon a big facebook.

This reminds me of a discussion a while ago when google were considering a 'social voting' search results.

They didn't implement it due to the probability that it would be spammed by blackhat SEOers - so, IMO, the +1 doesn't do anything for your position! Too early to tell yet, though.

Google +1 wont result in a site being listed above any other site... why? Cz its more of a personal result filtering concept by google. Suppose you are signed in with your G account and you +1 a site, then that site will show up higher to your G friends, its like recommending a site to your friends in G search listings. You +1 a site for keyword "Hello Kitty Backpack" now your friend searches for Hello Kitty Backpack, he will see the site that you had +1'd .

Anyways this concept is stupid imho

It can prolly be done, but the biggest problem is that the gmail account needs to be phone verified!

+ people in contact dont search the same keywords all the time.

I don't know if G will use the +1 button in the algo, but I've already started manipulating it just in case. 278 +1 click so far from unique accounts.

We are providing Google +1 service on another forums and lately found a flood of orders. A bot would be a great idea as right now we have to do it manually.

To all the guys claiming it won't benefit in SERP's or anything I would say google is not fool. there must be something behind this thing of-course they won't gonna revel it to general public..

Hopefully we will be providing such services here at this forum too after seeing a demand.

I also think that +1 won't help much.... spamming is so easy with these buttons...and fake accounts won't do much as they won't have any contacts in their list!

yeah... google is not dumb like facebook, google knows wat its doing, it wont allow ppl to spam the hell out like fb likes, even if we manage to spam it wont affect serps, google is just trying to enter the social networking bandwagon...
it would be plain stupid, I can easily get 1000 gmail pvas, proxies ... and i can make a bot for it myself and get all my sites #1 ....

I think this button will help in the serp .
i don't see why G would not take this in the algo.
If it was just to remember a site we have explorer bookmark , this +1 button would be useless .
G is going more and more on social , i'm sure it or will count in the serp .

For the bot , i thinks its pretty hard because as someone said , you have to verified account .

But there is an other way do to it , on the api +1 page you can get the explicite render code.
You can randomly launch the fonction in javascript with timer , to auto popup the +1acceptal , if the visitor is already login to google , he will see nothing but will like your page .
