How does aXXo earn money?

When ever i download a torrent related to axxo or fxg or any other torrent uploader, I always think, how can these people earn money.
I heard that they earn thousands of dollars
Does torrent websites like demonoid or mininova pay them?

lol, IMO they dont.

they only do it because its their passion.

ive talked to hackers, and i ask them if they make $5000 a day, and to my surprise, they tell me they earn nothing from it.

why? because hacking is something they wouldnt do for money. it's simply something they're passionate about and are happy even if they werent paid to do it.

I think they choose other income sources.

I heard that axxo had to spend some months in jail for it.
It may be rumour or it may be true.

I wouldn't assume that every torrent uploader is actually making money, at least not directly. aXXo does not really embed anything (other than a plug for a forum, which itself does not have much in the way of overt advertising) in his/her uploads.

The video sharing "scene" is a pretty complicated culture unto itself, and at least some of these guys are doing it for the fun, the rep, or the hell of it. Others do it because it gains them status, and that status directly translates into better, faster, quicker access to other shared files.

Finally, many of the "video pirates" do have "behind the scenes" connections to more traditional (I.E. disc burning) operations that sell in flea markets, etc.

I don't see how axxo could make money from his torrents. And it's complete bullshit that he/they went to jail. If they caught them they would go down for 10+ years minimum.

It has the complete story.Wikipedia mentioned that he went to jail and his is named as An Duc Do.Wikipedia()New York Times says that he is 25 years old but Miaa says that he is still minor and it is waiting for him to become a major.

Every one has his/her/their own view on aXXo, I think aXXo will become a mystery.

Generally whoever is browsing for torrents does not have money. They are looking for free movies, $1000 software packages, etc...


so if there are people like aXXo making money IMO it doesnt convert well.

but im not saying you cant make money here...
