I think that buyers realize that after they bought and the sites don't make money as promised, there is a let down. Over time, the let down grows and buyers just get smarter and start to use Google to find free or better deals.

Saying site flipping is dead is like saying real estate is dead. Site flipping won't ever die, it is an investment strategy to master. The younger generation like mine is growing and growing and a lot of people buy sites cause they hear about the "Internet Boom" and buy junk sites.

If your not making money flipping you suck at life! Stop complaining about fees. I'm glad they raised the fees, less competition .

Even though the seller knows it is a junk site maybe the buyer thought he got a good deal buying the sites since the person wouldn't have any idea how to even put a site online. $100 for a site worth $7 cause of domain might be valued to the buyer but laughable to people likes us.

Actually there shouldn't be so many complaints. The higher fees will only ensure serious sellers list and at least the buyers will get their money's worth.

Smart move by the guys at Flippa though. I wonder if there is some guy out there thinking, " This is a good time for another edition of my SiteFlipping WSO".

The fees going up should actually benefit those with decent sites to sell as you'll get longer exposure on the front page.

Part of the reasoning behind the fee increases (reading between the lines) is to discourage those selling turnkey sites and encourage serious sellers to see Flippa as a viable marketplace to sell their business.

This is exactly right, flipping sounds like something quick, that you can do in an instant. I personally prefer to have a decent site, than a site chucked together in 2 hours.

This really screws over the people that create dodgy info sites and tries to flip it for $100 or so.

This removes the dodgy flippers and leaves room for the buyers to purchase proper websites.

In my eyes I am all for it.

Also you never need to spend $100 to get your site up there, and if you got credibility from previous sales etc. It is nothing to get 1k+ for a website. It is also great to see that credible sellers get much more than 12 months of rev. I can easily get 15 months plus now adays. This is because alot of buyers that have not much knowledge in the field are coming in and buying internet investments, and in life if you can get your investment back in a year, and then more from then on, that is a goldmine.

So now many people with a few thousand come online and buy websites.

Flipping has never been better.
