Yes.

It's not too much to ask, it's just somewhat irrelevant, you can do it with just about any offer. You take an offer, find a relevant long tail keyword, write an article and work the product/cpa/whatever link in. It's just like making adsense minisites, except easier, and with cpa/cb/whatever instead of adsense. And ranking is easier. Then you do it over and over. I'd say make at least 50 articles before you even start to think about giving up, the traffic trickles, unless you hit a good keyword. I think hitting good keywords can come with practice.

Edit for clarity: I only did three articles with a submit offer, the rest were CB and other stuff to test. Am seeing hops but no CB sales yet but common sense says that I will once I get enough articles up, since I'm getting hops. It's a traffic source.

Actually I never thought to do the affiliate marketing. But now it seem so easy. I will give it a try.

I have several (7-8) articles already in "most popular" section in some categories but they don't increase my hops...they don't get views at all...apparently I need them to be picked up by Google otherwise I couldn't get more views for those articles. Do you seriously believe abusing their rating system work to get traffic because from my stats it doesn't work at all (users seem don't click the articles in most popular section)

Just a suggest cause I was noticing the same when I first started doing it, google the url of the article in question. If it comes back with a result its indexed, it's just not high up in the results for your keywords, too much competition. Do some SEO on the article or move on to next niche. I think that's the point of doing so many different niches, when you hit a big winner you'll notice it. I have been doing this only a couple days myself but that's just what I think. Some keywords I have been lucky enough to hit front page for and the traffic still only trickles in, I'm thinking I need to hone the keyword/writing skills and also put up a buttload of these articles.

I've got a ton of work on my plate every day. Especially with Christmas coming up, I've got to buckle down and make as much dough as possible. I've got a little boy to think about, so I apologize for not getting back to anyone's questions like I wanted. It takes work to keep a steady income stream, which is a direct result of my lateness in responding to posts.

that's cool, I'm just interested in scaling and the possibility of articlebase going down w/ all of your work. If you scale a little bit and diversify to other article sites then it'd take some risk off, and I'm sure if we all share a directory or two we could find one that ranks well..

Your absolutely right. The using of Articlesbase is a basis for everyone to get started. It's a good site, it ranks well in Google, and the learning curve isn't too hard even for beginners. I have many other accounts on Articlesbase and since beginning this method over 4 months ago have expanded my promotion to a number of other avenues. Unfortunately I'm not going to reveal these other places, but it's nothing any of you would have any trouble knowing about.

I use all of the tools that anyone would use. Social networks, videos, and basically... just anything.

It's up to you guys to go out there, and use your skills to spread your campaigns all over. There are an endless amount of ways to reach potential customers. You just have to look around, have good judgement, and set up a plan for anything you do. Don't just do something. Plan it, write it down, and make a list of things to get done.

I just got done watching the movie "The Social Network".. and I must say it was very inspiring. This kid turned one little college website and a thousand dollars, into a giant website with a net worth of 25 BILLION dollars.

So keep at it, and if something doesn't go your way, don't go jumping off the bridge just yet. I did that in the beginning too, and once I actually stuck with it through all the bad times, THAT is when the money started coming in.

What you say is true but i mean what's the point of keep "rating up" the articles while the true traffic source comes from Google? Doesnt it mean what we have to do is just to optimize the article keywords and build a bit backlinks to them?

Apparently taking a minute or two to rate your articles has a good time/cost ratio. Linkbuilding to articlesbase articles has the disadvantage that if you ever decide to make your own website in that niche, you now do not only have to beat articlebase which should be not that difficult, but you will have to beat an authority site with page backlinks. Depending on how good they are it can be a real pain in the ass afterwards. Or imagine you get banned from articlesbase... you know what keywords could work, but now you have to fight a way more powerful enemy if you decide to go with another article directory for the same keywords.

Articlesbase marketing is a short term method with an OK time to money ratio, a good start for many because you don't need technical or seo knowledge(but it helps). It's downside is that you have no real statistics on how users found you, you can't build an opt-in list, and chances are slim that your readers will click on other articles about a similar topic from you, which would be more easy with your own website, even without opt-in list, provided they come back.

Thanks for dropping me some valuable inputs there. The reason I asked you what offer you pushed is because I picked email submits and picked some longtails. Wrote 3 articles got them approved but when I changed the shrinked link and resubmitted, AB rejected my articles right away! Reason: advertising! Edited the articles to product review only and a call to action within the body. Got rejected again! So I thought I would ask if you or tyler had any suggestion on this! But still, sorry for a stupid question. I understand every point of this brilliant method, And I've been writing articles for like 3 years now never had a rejection. I'm just confused about something I need to find out more about. I'm never ready to give up

seems like they've picked up their denials and bannings based on "advertising"....I hope you know (articlebase employee forum lurker) that bhw provides a $hit load of content to your site and without the users here, you'd be a lot less wealthy....

I wish I had enough experience to be able to help with that because it sounds like a real pain. I would just try other linkcutters, and perhaps take a look at your writing and make sure you sound like 'just some person' writing it. I always try and throw in something about my friends/family/personal experience. I don't even know if that's necessarily the right thing to do, but in the beginning I was getting rejected for a lot of things (format, company name in title etc) but never for advertising, and I've been putting a steady two links in each article.

articlebase keeps telling me my article is rejected for bad characters. i asked what this means, and they told me to take my copy and 1st add it to notepad and then copy n paste into their site. I did this and again it was rejected for bad characters.

I don't know why this continues to be a problem. I don't have this issue with other article directories...

Can anyone suggest a solution?
