I've sold a few ebooks on digitalpoint in the past and must say it's a great money maker, 4 hours writing an ebook and selling it can easily yield $100 or more. My problem is I only sell at most 8 or 9 ebooks at around $10-$20 a pop. I aim to sell at least $500 worth of each ebook i sell. How can i achieve this more easily? What methods tend to have better results selling ebooks at dp?

Get some of your friends from BHW to make positive, but honest testimonials on your DP sales thread. Also, display a beautiful ebook cover (I can help you out on that), and use strong ad copy and a powerful headline.

That should help to increase sales.

Wiz is right, control your review copies tightly, have all your reviewers ask u to "put the price up / restrict the amount of sales / restrict the time etc

more buyers quicker afraid to miss a good thing

don't worry too much if its a bullshit product, they are all at it!

thanks for the replies. So for example, if I wanted to make $500 with a 20-30 page book, i would have to limit it to 30 around copies at 17.99

Is 30 copies too many? I also heard not to mention what the book is about and to give it a captivating headline like "How to get 500 PR7 backlinks in one week for free" instead. Is this true?

The Best Method is to have powerful adCopy, limited review copies, and as mentioned above review comments from a group of members with positive/hyped reviews.

Then scale up the process by outsourcing your ebook creation so your able to increase by ten fold the amount of simultaneous campaigns and ebook sales processes.

30 copies should be fine. Also, you can use the "early bird" technique. For instance, make it so that the first 10 copies are sold at $17.00, the next 10 at $27.00, and the next ten at $37.00. But if it isn't a great ebook, then I wouldn't go as high as $37. Just make it the first ten at $17.00 and the remaining 20 at $27.00.

And yes . . . a "How To" headline is always good. And always be sure to include the BENEFIT in the headline.

- A FEATURE is what the product is
- An ADVANTAGE is what the product does
- A BENEFIT is the outcome that the customer will get as a result of buying/using your product.

Cheers! . . . and best of luck with your sales :)

Features, Advantages, Benefits! - We call those FAB's in my sales class! Well done Wiz!

I think the best piece of advice is to have your reviewers ask you to limit the copies sold, or raise the price. Good luck!

and don't forget the instant buy now button, some people just don't like waiting

use e-junkie, it makes the process a lot easier for you and your customers as well, your customer will get redirected to the download link of the product right after the purchase, so it seems more pro
google for e-junkie coupon code, you can use their services free for a few months however it's well worth the price, the basic plan is like 5$/mth, if i can remember well

hyperlink a picture of a buy now button in your sales thread with the e-junkie url of your product, it will help a lot ;)

^^^^ This. So many threads don't have an easy paypal buy now button.
You need to make it easy for people to purchase. And then state right after
the button "instant access upon purchase". This lets them know they can
have it NOW.

Make sure your building a list. Send everyone to an optin page after their
purchase so they receive the report through their email and you get a
subscriber. This way the next time you come out with another report, you
will have a list of subscribers you can let know about it.

Also, you got to keep your thread buzzing. So make up a bonus, write in the
ebook that people can get your super secret bonus if they leave you a review in
your thread and then link to your thread.

how do you guys protect yourself against chargebacks ?I mean chargebacks not for bad ebooks but from assholes who planing to do a chargeback even before reading the ebook

Yeah no way to protect yourself from chargebacks really, but again, create a sense of urgency to force potential buyers into becoming actual buyers

That's actually a better idea... Works much better for me... Posting a thread on DP with a toned down price never hurts though.

I think the dp sale will be a kind of pre-release. If it's successful then i'll set up a website with an affiliate program etc.

Sound like a plan?

what's the next best payment processor to use other than paypal? I just created a new account because my other one is locked. I don't want them to lock the funds I can't use google checkout because its only for united states. 2checkout costs too much.
