My biggest win so far in the world cup. I also have the Colombia Congo later today at a draw too with similar odds.

No idea how England managed to draw with Ghana

Honestly

I think many of us misjudged how the match could turn out because of what we saw from Croatia but Ghana played a different kind of game.

world cup is all about these dissapointments but congo also played well

Yeah, it's football in general... that's what makes it worth it. The unexpected things that happen

Like how Congo shocked many of us in the Portugal game... Everyone thought Portugal were going to smash them before the game even started and then they even scored early in the game : D

Reason #1: Ghana are ex-British colony, so these African nations tend to get extra motivated when playing against their colonizers. The same reason for which France lost to Ivory Coast in their pre-WC friendly...

Reason #2: Ghana are always a tough (African) nut to crack at the WC, especially by nations that are deemed stronger than them. They have WC pedigree, they're feisty, and they've adopted the well organized style of European footballing nations.

Reason #3: they're managed by Carlos Queiros, which is known for his defense-oriented and well organized style. And Ghanaians are experienced and good enough to be able to follow Quieros' instructions to play as a unit, thus being hard to break down.

Reason #4: England have probably underestimated them and / or had a bad day (such days are frequent in football, no nation or club is exempted from it, and today just happened to be England's bad day)

For #4, yeah I would say they were underestimated. They also faced a different kind of opponent and maybe that just didn't work in their favor with the style of game England plays now, unlike what we saw with Croatia and the setup Croatia played with

At the end of the day it's football, like a box of chocolates and you can never really tell what to expect in games like this : D

Yeah always, there was no way you could get 7 to 1 odds for a draw during the game anyway because with each passing minute the odds move against you while the score stays, that particular game was way underpriced for the draw for the probability of the draw outcome to come.
