[Life Advice for 18-30] How to Get Stupidly Wealthy

I don't agree with OP and we discussed at the beginning of this thread, but what a weird stuff is happening here xD

Random profiles appearing out of nowhere...take a look at the likes in some comments, they are all banned now, tons of fake accounts appearing to spread likes to everybody. Weirdoes with multi-accounts discussing with themselves. Some guys bumping it everyday. Now a guy appearing after five years to talk about personal stuff...lmao, for some reason it seems this post attracted the attention of bots and previously banned members with their alts.

Anyone who can net $2m by the time they are 25 does not need advice on how to get wealthy

Think outside of the box and then see that if you're a 40 year old parent, you can help your 15 year old kid make $2m before they're 25.

This is the advice that if I could go back to when I was 18 and teach myself I would be, today, sitting on a yacht laughing at my ridiculous success.

Instead. I discovered this at 43.

That's ok for me. I'm blessed with good genetics and I have the same energy/health I had in my 20's so I can keep building, but I'll impart this wisdom on my younger friends here on bhw.

Most of you won't manage to do this though. It requires discipline and it goes against everything the influencers preach, but for the handful of you that do, you're in for an amazing life.

Here's the biggest secret that no one talks about.. (really)

You only need to compound 8-9% to get wealthy. You don't need to make 15%, 20% or higher returns.

The S&P 500 has done about 11% average over the past 100 years.

Over a period of 20-30 years you're going to get 8 to 12% with it. Likely more like 12% given the debasement of currency and the technological growth of the economy, but you only need 8%. Anything else is a bonus.

Here's your life plan:

Age 18 to 30 - You have maximum energy. This is also the worst time for men. Trust me. 40+ is the fucking time to be a man :-) 18-30 is your prep-years. (Whether you want a wife or to be a playboy. Doesn't matter. Build and focus on you first and you'll get a super high quality wife at 30-35+ and can build a huge family with ease if that's what you want. Which imo is the best path.)

Use this time to bank hard. Don't try to grow companies.

Venture Capital is a big scam. It's slavery wrapped up in a nice box. They want your energy to make them rich.

If you can net just $2 mil by the time you're 25, here's what the numbers look like with 9% compounding :

That means, $2 mil in VOO or an S&P 500 tracker. Don't overcomplicate it. This is all you need. Banks want to sell you fancy things because they make money on them. They don't make much money on simple index's.

In 50 years, you're worth $150 million.

That means, if all you do, is bank $2mil by age 25, when you're 75 you're a deca-millionaire. And in current time's, 75 year olds are going to be like 40 year olds are today.

But here's the magic..

You keep working and banking until you're about 30. At this point, you've maxed out your VOO. Job should be done. The more you get in it pre age-30, the more you'll have later in life.

Now you might think life is going to be boring until 75.

But, you're now 30, your future is set. You know what you can do now?

Use your energy. Earn, spend, have fun. You can make $500k/year and spend every penny on lifestyle. Travel, party, drive sports cars.

By the time you're 40, your $2mil you banked in VOO at 25 is worth $7.2 million.

At this point, you can start taking loans against it. 2% is the sweet spot. You can take 2% per year for the rest of your life and never pay tax on it and never get margin called.

At 40, your 2% loan is $145k/year. $12k/mo tax free, work free, that will only increase year on year.

Want to buy a house? You can get a super low rate mortgage against your principle. The house and the principle compound.

Let's say you take a loan of $800k for a house. Your $800k keeps compounding at 9%. The house compounds at 5-6%, and the loan interest is 4-5%.

By the time you're 50, your principle is $17 mil and your tax free yearly is $344k. At this point, you own a home, have $30k/mo tax free and never have to work again. Or, you can keep hustling and making cash. Maybe you're working and making $50k/mo. You can fly private, charter yachts and have fun, all safe in the knowledge your lifestyle is secured for the next 100 years.

2% loans yearly will keep your LTV under 25% indefinitely.

By year 60, you're worth $350m and if you want you can take out a couple extra big loans for big purchases if you want.

You're 85, but you have so much wealth you've had access to all the best supplements, peptides and anti-aging medicine so you look like a 55 year old.

It's that easy.

Age 18-30 - Just earn and bank. Don't grow companies. Don't reinvest heavily into a company. If you can bank $300k-$400k/year for a few years you're good. Build a company to $1mil/year, and bank $800k/year. Don't try to grow it to $5mil/year by reinvesting that $800k. Just get to $5mil in VOO before 30 and you're good. $10-$12m by 30 and you're going to stinking rich at 60.

Everyone makes the mistake of either spending, or trying to grow a company early.

It's easy to make $1mil/year for 5 years.

It's very hard to build a company to $10mil/year. Not many can do it. You have to be truly good at business, and this takes years, which defeats the point.

30-45 - This is your earning years. You've got more skills. You can probably make $2-$3m/year at this point. Don't save it. You don't need to. Spend spend spend. Go fucking crazy. Life like you're super rich, because when you're 50, you will be super rich without working. At 30-45 you have to work to be it, which is fine.

45-50+ - Choice is yours. Spend time with the family. Be a playboy. Work. Don't work. Play WoW. Doesn't matter. You're a decamillionaire. Enjoy life.

P.S. Copy and paste this into chatgpt and ask it questions. Ask it to give you tables of year on year and ask it about LTV, how to take loans against your principle, what VOO is, what buy, borrow, die is and practicalities of what I'm saying, but most of all, keep it fucking simple. The reason this won't work is if you try to get fancy and make higher %'s or you want to sell and spend your principle. Just s&p 500. That's all you need.

P.P.S: Are you 40+ ? This won't work well. You need to build a company and sell it for $10-$12m by the time you're 45-50 and you're set. Still do-able, but you can't do it with $2m-$5m unless you can wait until 80+. If you start at 50 with $12m, by the time you're 65 your principle is like $35m. It's do-able though. You just need to build a decent company to $5m ARR and you can sell for $10m-$15m.
Nice age to also marry. A wife save u from doing stupid things

Anyone who can net $2m by the time they are 25 does not need advice on how to get wealthy

WHAT? Are you serious? :-)

The only thing worse than a 25 year old with $2m is an 18 year old with $2m.

The only thing on my mind at that time was porsches and penthouses.

I literally, have spent 7 figures on utter garbage. High 7 figures. If someone like me had gotten through to me when I was younger I'd be stupidly wealthy right now, instead of trying to build and sell my SaaS for $30m+ so I can catch up on compounding so by the time I'm 60 I can enjoy the last 50 years of my life and do whatever the fuck I want and answer to no one.

If a 43 year old in that position has nothing of value to add to you, then move along. There's lots of 20 something influencers who will sell you the dream of living it big in your 20's.

Try to find those same guys in 20 years and see how they're doing.

Shit changes fast, and most rock stars aren't actually rock stars. They just got lucky.

And the way the world is now isn't how it always was or will be. 50 years ago you really couldn't make millions as a 20 year old. With the Internet and what you have access to now, you can.

You might not be able to keep making money in 10-15 years, which is why you should bank and compound otherwise you'll feel the pain of going from rich to poor and not being able to build up again.

@splishsplash how do we get $2Million this is the main question

That's the funny thing. Not a single person has even asked me that. The people of 2026 just jump to "eat the rich" type mentality.

The first thing is to understand that making money comes from having high self-worth. It's all mindset.

Make your focus on increasing your self-worth. Learn how to sell to yourself. You are your first customer.

Your job is to sell yourself that you're actually a rock star.

Once you can do that, the next thing is to shift away from the masses mindset that you make money through productive skills. You do not.

Skills don't make you money. At least not the kind of money we're talking about.

When people like Alex Hormozi talk about investing in yourself and your skills, they aren't talking about learning to code, learning to bake or learning a trade. These are productivity skills.

You need to learn how to sell and how to market. There's other things in business, but if you can sell and market, you'll make a couple million. If you want to make $20mil+ you have to learn more, but 6 figs to low 7 figs you'll do it by just being good at marketing.

Learn how to write copy, do cold email, run fb ads, track ads properly, build offers and ASSEMBLE products.

Note I say 'assemble'. You don't need to build a product. If you want to make money as an entrepreneur you are an assembler, not a builder.

Bring people together. Selling is more than selling to customers, it's the art of getting someone sold on what you want them to do.

There are literally millions of broke software devs out there who want to make money. Instead of being the guy who can code, be the guy who can market and partner up with someone who can code.

There are endless people with courses. You can sell courses in any niche. They aren't all teaching people to make money. You can do courses in how to train your dog, how to learn skipping. There are so many weird niches. You even have AI to help you brainstorm.

With what I wrote there, you have enough to set your gps and start your journey. You know *what* to learn now and you know the secret which is to assemble not build. That's why dumb confident people are able to make money, because they assemble.

I am amazed bcz this guide is diamond for us op

Most truly wealthy people don't really go around sharing how it's done. The masses are brainwashed and confused about wealth, and that's for a reason. The wealthy need you to buy. If you all start compounding in the s&p 500, the spend-economy will crash.

The only thing worse than a 25 year old with $2m is an 18 year old with $2m.
Me with 4 dollar figures in Poland 13 years ago in 2013 as a 14 year old. That was 10x monthly salary.

Dropped out of school, thought I'm genius, later diagnosed as schizoaffective.

My brother the same, but his career ended quickly as police knocked on his doors and he got discouraged to any type of internet activity.

I'm still recovering from this hit and curing my illness now. I was working 12 hours a day to make one salary a day. It was so crazy, but burning me out.

Porshe is pretty common among young lucky, gifted people. They later tend to switch to Audi or BMW as they gain experience and realize their control over finances is close to zero.

If you told me about Bitcoin holding 10 years ago, I'd laugh hard. Even 5 years ago.

You might not be able to keep making money in 10-15 years, which is why you should bank and compound otherwise you'll feel the pain of going from rich to poor and not being able to build up again.
You mean, making absurd amount of money? For me anything above 5 figures monthly is absurd money.

Well, I tell you one thing.

If you focus on narrow shit like coding software for some bs company just to milk investors, you're basically scamming yourself... you're losing your time on learning complex frameworks like React, Spring... it's all useless in your personal life.

However, if you switch to systems design, cloud architecture, AI setups... it's a whole different game and you can use it both for personal and professional reasons.

I think of it like a system of intertwined art pieces that work together and it's a giant machine where I can do whatever I want. Tune every part... I can control multiple parameters... building a system is an awesome journey, no matter how much money I make.

Sorry, assembling a system. But I build some custom parts just because... sometimes it helps. Like this text of this post is custom, right. But most software instead of building, you can just find. Same with accounts. Same with services. You can buy all of this and assemble together.

Assembling? Architecture? Art? Business? Engineering? Balance it all out maybe.

The bottom line is that if you’re poor, you might have a chance of spending your entire youth saving money and living with minimum conditions, working 12 hours a day, without getting married, without having kids, without buying anything, without leaving the house, without traveling, without emergency expenses—and maybe in three decades you might have a chance to start seeing your first million. You just need to find a job paying regularly $600 per month and save $200 of it for decades.

By the time you’re 70 or 80, you’d finally have two million dollars to pay for medical treatments and antidepressants to cope with the miserable life you had just to save money and die as a millionaire without being able to enjoy anything—but hey, at least you are not an angry poor on this

You didn't read anything I wrote. You just made up some extreme sounding crap.

You have no idea about anything.

You're just another kid who thinks he knows it all, but go ahead. You do you. You only get one shot.

He or she had to use AI probably to write this... and it sounds like worst case scenario. It literally cannot get worse long term than in their post.

If you have a job and it makes you $500, all you have to do is change where you work and it doubles or triples.

It's a complete distortion of reality.

The premise is that if you lived hard and burned all your money when you were young, you'll be a happy old man.

The anti-depressants thing is just stupid. Why would a 70 year old who has infinite money for life to enjoy his last years and spend time with family be taking anti-depressants?

And he changes 50 to 60, to 70 to 80, conveniently adding 20 years on.

It's just BS, like most replies in this thread, and most of these people will grow old and maybe one day remember this advice and realize how stupid they were as kids.

Don't do anything and stay poor forever. :D

Money isn't equal to wealth. Having money doesn't make you wealthy. Wealth is something long term.

Rich isn't the same as wealthy too. People don't think about these "small differences". Language is a barrier for many.

My net worth is $1000. I used to focus on income all my life.

"Most people are investing too early and building wealth in the wrong order. Stocks, Bitcoin, and meme coins will not save you if you never build the income machine first."

That's true. :P Income machine first! Not a regular job unless it's a part of income machine - not income machine replacement. If you're only able to get a regular job, you're missing out on opportunities called the internet, marketing, business and more.
