Why My Website Not Ranking Even After Backlinks?

50 links from profile web2 and bookmarks usually dont move rankings because they are very weak signals. Google mostly ignores them if there is no real authority or relevance. Focus more on a few strong contextual links and improving content intent.

Hey guys,

I’ve built around 50+ backlinks for my site but still not seeing any ranking improvement.

Here’s what I’ve tried:
- Profile backlinks
- Web 2.0 backlinks
- Social bookmarking

But keywords are still stuck beyond page 5.

My goal:
Rank on page 1 for low competition keywords

Am I doing something wrong?
Any suggestions would really help
How long is your site age?
It took me 5 months to start ranking for my niche keywords.

I have zero back links since my site is in adult niche.

I am getting 300+ a day after 5 months.

For the first 3 to 4 months, impressions and clicks are flat lines with just around 10 to 30 clicks a day and 100 impressions.

Only After 5 months, both impressions and clicks increased exponentially.

So it might have to do with the domain age authority or your HTML page structure is not following basic SEO meta.

Those are zero value backlinks usually created to bury other types of backlinks. They don't pass any link juice. You can consider your website as zero authority and zero trust. It's better to focus on low competition keywords until you build high quality backlinks.

What you’re experiencing is actually very common in 2025, and the main issue is not the number of backlinks but the type and quality of those backlinks. Profile links, Web 2.0s, and social bookmarking used to work years ago, but today they carry very little ranking power because Google largely ignores or devalues them. In many cases, these links don’t hurt but they also don’t help push rankings, especially if they are not relevant, not indexed properly, or come from low quality platforms.

Yeah, that's the issue. Those links (profiles, bookmarks, Web 2.0) are mostly weak and don’t move rankings anymore. You need relevant, contextual links from real sites + better content targeting low-comp keywords. Quality > quantity always.

50 backlinks? not worth it boss, it all depend on how high quality they are and what niche and targeted geo you are looking for.

those link types alone usually do not move rankings much anymore. Try focusing more on quality contextual backlinks + improving on-page SEO, because that makes a bigger difference for getting out of page 5.

The links you are building are generally low authority and often viewed as spam by Google. Try focusing on guest posts or niche edits to get higher quality juice to your pages. Quality always beats quantity when it comes to breaking past page 5.

Stop wasting time on that junk because profile links and social bookmarks haven't worked for years.
Google basically ignores those low tier links now so you need real guest posts or niche edits to see any movement.
Get some links from sites that actually have traffic and you'll finally start climbing the results.

Those backlink types are low quality, so focus on high quality contextual links, quality content, and stronger on page SEO to see real ranking result improvements.

Backlinks alone are not enough that's why rankings aren't coming. Low quality or spammy backlinks
Content is weak or does not match user intent
How can I find high quality backlink?

it's hard to say without knowing the status of your site (niche + keyword research, site structuring, content quality and optimization, technical SEO, topical authority, internal linking, etc...)

Backlinks - while still needed - are one of the last pieces of the puzzle, so you need to nail down everything else before building links...

Also, those backlinks used to be good 15 years ago, nowadays they don't do shit anymore, so no surprise you're not ranking (and that's assuming that you've done everything else right first, like I said)....
Thabks for your valuable information brother.

50 backlinks doesn’t really mean much if they’re all low-quality. Profiles, web 2.0, and bookmarks are mostly weak signals these days. Google cares more about relevance and authority now.
If your site is stuck on page 5, I’d look at content first. Is it actually better than what’s already ranking? Then add a few solid contextual backlinks instead of mass low-tier links.
How I can find high quality backlink?

Those types of links only don't rank pages anymore, not even the low hanging fruits you mentioned.

In most cases, if you push those links much at once, you page would be deranked.
which link is now ranking? Can You Suggest Some?

I think you need an audit of your website. Also make proper competitors analysis. and don't just make foundational types links.

You Are using low quality backlinks that dont impact rankings Focus on better content strong on page SEO relevant high quality backlinks and proper internal linking Also check indexing speed and keyword targeting
Thanks for your information brother.

Mate honestly 50 backlinks won’t move the needle if your on-page is off. Stuck on page 5 usually means google doesn’t think your page matches the keyword in the first place, no amount of profile links and web 2.0s will fix that. Before building more links, check what the top 3 ranking pages have that you don’t, title, H1, internal links to the ranking page, content depth, all of it. There is a tool called freeserp.com which does this automatically, pulls your live position, crawls top 3 competitors entire sites, shows the exact gaps and gives a customised AI plan you can chat with for specific fixes. Free, no signup card. Fix on-page first, then your existing links will actually start pulling weight. Got 5 client pages from page 4-5 to top 5 in weeks doing this.

Yeah, the issue is the type of links.

profiles, web 2.0, bookmarks don’t move rankings much anymore.

They’re easy to get, so Google doesn’t value them.
What type of links need to rank in 2026?
