EU is much more serious about consent before sending SMS. You cannot send unsolicited marketing messages without their consent. Think in the US it's more relaxed.

EU SMS marketing can work well, but compliance is everything. GDPR and local telecom regulations are strict, so proper opt-in and clean data lists are key.


I’ve seen better long-term results from segmented lists and personalized campaigns rather than pure volume blasting. Curious which countries you’re focusing on? Each market behaves a bit differently.

If you’re sending 5K SMS daily in the U.S., use an A2P-compliant provider to avoid carrier issues. Twilio is reliable but pricey compare other compliant bulk SMS providers for better rates.
