I hope I’m not stirring up yet another controversy among the sellers here. This is a straightforward but effective guide on what you need to do to avoid Reddit bans; everything has been tested by me. If you’re not interested in using browsers or mobile proxies, you might want to skip this guide!"
Around February to April 2024, Reddit significantly increased its checks. If you bought accounts created before this period, you likely understand why you're experiencing bans. Previously, I worked with data center proxies and performed many spam actions, leading to far fewer bans than now. If someone tells you otherwise, they are likely trying to sell you accounts. In April, I spent thousands of dollars buying old accounts, and I can assure you that only a small fraction survived.
Let’s get started:
Account Creation: In my opinion, the best approach for creating accounts is to use a combination of anonymous browsers (Incognito, free for up to 3 windows) and rotating mobile proxies (around $7 per GB). I avoid static proxies because I believe Reddit users access it during breaks and on the go. A static proxy would mean using the same location all the time.
I also recommend setting residential mobile proxies to sticky with a duration of 20-30 minutes and selecting your city of interest. If you plan to stay connected for a longer period, adjust the duration accordingly.
Once the account is created, spend about 15 minutes browsing the top articles on the homepage. In my opinion, this is the only true way to warm up the account!
We can wrap up for today:
The next day (I use rotating residential proxies, which are equally effective and cheaper), we’ll pick up our account (using the same Incognito browser) and will have a new IP available for the set duration.
Now, start exploring subreddits of interest. Visit and add a few subreddits to your favorites. Begin by posting a couple of comments on various posts (I recommend a maximum of 2). Gradually, each day, repeat these actions, increasing the number of comments until you reach around 20 comment karma (500 is even better). After about a week, your account will be Reddit-proof! I always recommend doing at least a minimal warm-up before taking any action, such as visiting at least one post.
Bought Reddit Accounts:
I personally buy Reddit accounts with visible comment karma (since the natural flow on Reddit is to comment first and then post) because, in my opinion, gaining comment karma is very challenging. You can purchase empty accounts, but I recommend buying ones with at least one comment (I believe Reddit is flagging accounts that are created and left inactive).
If you don’t have a trusted seller, start by buying just one account!
For all these accounts, I wait at least 3 days since the last comment before connecting with Incognito and a residential proxy (for added security, use mobile proxies).
Why wait 3 days? As I’ve mentioned several times on the forum, if an account was created in the USA, where exactly? No one specifies if it was created in Jacksonville or Washington. By waiting 3 days since the last comment, I can use proxies from anywhere in the world, and it doesn’t matter where the account was originally created.
WARM-UP:
On the first day, perform a warm-up action for a newly created account by spending 15 minutes browsing subreddits with some subscriptions.
On subsequent days, carry out small warm-up actions as a natural user and engage in your preferred activities (posting, messaging, linking).
It’s very important not to overdo any actions; moderation is key!
I use many accounts specifically to limit these actions (1-2 per day). This definitely helps me preserve my accounts over time.
