My girlfriend is looking for something to do, to make some money online. She is currently a college student, but when I am working online, she gets really bored and wants my attention, so I am trying to find somehting for her to do.

She is a really good writer, and I found textbroker somewhere on here. Has anyone ever used it? Do they pay? Any other suggestions?

My personal experience with them has been terrible. The article requests ask for $50 work for a measly $4. Be prepared to edit an article even after taking an hour out of your day to write it, which comes out to below minimum wage, at least that what it was when I did it. To be honest, she'd probably be better off getting a job as a hostess somewhere. I just haven't had good luck with TB.

i have bad experiences with them too. You don't get many orders and the orders are very short. So you have to search very often for information about each order which is about 150 words. And because of this you cant write many words in a short time. Besides it is very hard to get good feedbacks..

Is there anywhere else that you guys would suggest? She is a very good writer. She did sign up with them and received a 4 star raiting from her submission article. She has already typed up a couple articles because she got so excited.

If she is a really good writer then maybe AC would actually work well for her. As I recall, a 4 star rating on text broker is really good. If she writes that well then her AC articles might make some decent amount of money and also happen to collect enough visitors to earn a little extra change afterwords. But associatedcontent isn't for everyone.

Yeah there are some better alternatives that pay slightly more and you do not have to worry about all that star crap.

Probably a better idea all around, would be have her create a couple niche adsense sites, as she can make a lot of recurring money if you promote them correctly. Find a decent paying niche, have here write the articles and post them on wordpress, then you can take care of the link building for her.

It maybe a fun project you can both work on together, and could lead to some decent money each month.

I like the wordpress idea, but we have found working together is kind of a headache, or better I have found that, LOL. Thank you for the suggestions.

I've never really understood why people write content for these pay-per-article sites.

I honestly believe, that you can get over 100x as much by going down the AdSense route. I don't understand why people use WordPress either ... their scripting Path in PHP is the most obvious and most common, making it extremely vulnerable to hackers ...

My opinion would go download the AdSense route via Joomla :D

LOL

I've personally had really good experience with TB in the past. If you're a 4 star writer (or even 3), you can easily make 20-40 dollars an hour. I always start my internet marketing day with 1-2 article here because it doesn't take long and free few hundred dollars a month doesn't hurt :)

It also sets me up in a focused mood to do my marketing research and stuff, so yeah. Just my personal experience here. I also never had any problems with editing and rejection.

Also, I'm not the type of writer who spends a ton of time on one article. If I can't write it fast, I just skip it.

The point of pay-for-article sites like TB and AC for IMers has been their usefulness as a source of reliable short term cash (otherwise called working capital) to carry people over while they build their if-come-when-come money machine of adsense sites, CPA portals, buy-my-ebook blogs and so on. Just like the Fiverr phenomenom, it provides a way to get more definite money to people now, which gives them a heck of a lot more positive motivation to continue on, than going the affiliate or CPC route alone make bank.

The truth is the majority of marketers aren't making money with CB, CPA, Adsense ad laden blogs, etc, or else just a few bucks over months worth of time. The persistent will eventually see some real dough, but what do they do in the mean time? I have a couple of level 4 accounts with TB, and any day I want to (usually each weekday) I hammer out a dozen or so $7 articles across 5-6 hours, and thus make $80-$110 a day in online freelance work. That's before working on other IM projects that will pay more money passively, but may take longer to see the first dime. The paid articles are the lifeline to keep people encouraged to hang in there with IM until they are truly making it.

I got a four star rating as well, but haven't written anything yet. I was waiting on my Dem/-\ndstudios application, but I got denied.

D.S. is retarded. I also applied and got rejected meanwhile I wrote a couple of articles for a client that works for D.S. They were accepted no problem, didn't have to fix them or anything. LOad of crap!

sign her up to be a webcam model. my gf does this and she makes a steady $150+/night doing it. working only from 11pm - 2am. Most ive seen her make in a single night is $360. not bad income for a female :)

TB is bad imo. The clients can so demanding and then you only get $4 for them. It's hard to find a good paying company :\

haha thanks for the encouragement. I was irritated because I thought I hit a home run with my application.
It's just their $15 per article thing seems so attractive compared to AC's 3 and 4 dollar upfronts.

If she is that good, set up a blog for her and fill it with related offers. If you don't want the task of set up ..., got my marketing blog so far to #11 for blog marketing; the #1 would bring some cash to share. A series of articles and my SEO work could do the "job" pretty fast.

They make you fill out a 1099 for payments. I got paid 6.29 for 2 articles which i put good work into. I got 2 star rating, and i worked hard getting those articles written. I decided to get to 10$ then close the account. They are worse then AC

yea go for adsense. It does not cost that much with 100$ and some effort you can make more $$$$ than submitting it to pay per article sites.

Yeah they're terrible. They ask for $50 work for $4. The TB team doesn't even read your articles when they rate them which can mean death to your earning potential. I had a few dozen articles that went unrated for weeks by TB but had excellent ratings from the customers and then one day all of them were rated 3 stars by TB when they were obviously 4 stars according to the customers. Bull shit they didn't read 40 500 word articles in one day... they just hit "check all" under the "3 stars" tab. Theres no way in hell they were ALL 3 stars. ESPECIALLY when the customers rated them totally different ("excellent" not "3 stars").

Don't waste your time with these assholes.
