there was a new update recently and it's getting harder to work.

That depends on your budget for proxies , email accounts , browser profiles etc
Most antidetect browsers are offering 100 profiles in the range of 50$-100$ per month ( subscription )

Regarding the automation you can use some tools like Automa , Bablesoft , Zapier etc
You need to create yourself a custom solution that is adapted to your current setup

I had enough problems with automation and IG was constantly deleting my accounts, I gave up.

So I created 2 IG accounts with my SIM many years ago, for some stupid reason. Never really used them much. No bio, no profile pic, nothing.

Found out the other day that I can follow big accounts with only ONE of those 2 accounts. The other one will give me the “pending” msg on trying to follow other accounts.

Now, …I’d really like to manage 3-5 accounts on this same device/SIM, for a future project.

I suppose it would make more sense to just create fresh accounts for that and start from scratch !?

Would it make any sense, though, to delete the old 2 accounts, so they don’t count against the 3-5 accounts limit? Or is it too late for that? Will it make a difference? Would I need to use a different gmail for setup?

Phone numbers / SIMs are assigned to new users naturally all the time. What footprints will IG use to differentiate between an old and new SIM-owner? E-mail, wifi-IP, device ID, …?

Please enlighten me.

You want more accounts in one device, you can use anti-detect browser to create mobile browsers, one for each account. Browsers have different parameters, so don't worry about duplicate browser parameters. If you want to change your IP address, use a proxy

Just use an app cloner, nomix or other options.
Even on a low budget phone like a Samsung a20 I can run 9 accounts.
Make sure to always use mobile data as long as you are changing the turning on flight mode and turning it back off again.

When you have a sim in the phone you will be able to use the mobile data from the sim.
If you put the phone into aeroplane mode. This will turn off all connections.
When you turn off aeroplane mode, the connections will come back on.
The way mobile data works is each time you do this reconnect, you will be given a new IP address from the pool of IPs that the mobile data provider has.
This means it is much harder for Instagram to see you are running many accounts because they track the ip linked to an account, and you are now changing this often, they can't track you to ban you.

For some accounts (one of mine included), when trying to follow very large accounts (millions of followers) a message will appear stating that “some creators like to manually select who can follow them” and the follow will appear as pending.

It’s possible that one of my accounts (the one hit by this restriction) has different settings, or …wait, lemme check, …oh, okay, I guess I found the culprit: The account that couldn’t follow had 0 followers and …0 content.

Great! Figured that out.

Now …will I be able to zero out my per-device-account-limit, if I were to delete those 2 accounts?

3 to 5 accounts.

If you are technical, you can use clones and use more than 5 accs per device. With mobile data ofc and rotate the IP after each use ofc.

We have 12 per device. We work with agencies who are running 50 per device aswell.
