Saw a lot of questions re. Youtube shorts, so offering a few tips and tricks that could be helpful.

If anyone has other tips, would be awesome to hear!

TRICK: Use google cloud vision -

Youtube uses googles cloud vision AI to analyze each frame of a video and its thumbnail, determine what kind of subjects are in the video, and then push it to the appropriate audience.

You can run your thumbnails and video frames through cloud vision and see if your hashtags, titles etc are actually lining up with what the AI thinks your video is about.

The better the metadata matches the visual content, the better the algorithm works!

How long have you had this account/how many shorts have you uploaded?
First step, try making a new account on the same device, upload different content and see if it gets views. This will help you tell if the problem is a device/IP/etc issue or an account/content issue

I remember that youtube have a similar tool from the youtube studio that you can use to select the best thumbnail from other ones you select to compare but another option is always welcome.

Hmmm, I would try making another account on the same device with different content and see how that does. In the meantime I'd keep uploading the same way on the original.

Definitely with a face if you can, performance will be better but at the same time it's a matter of resources. 7 shorts per week faceless is better than 1 per week with a person

In my experience, old accounts get views quicker.

I tried to double check this with ChatGPT and few other sources, they did their scan and they couldn't verify or deny this. The answer was pretty much : "the exact methods and technologies YouTube uses for content analysis and audience targeting are proprietary and not publicly detailed." So what you said here... is this insider info or a speculation?
