I'm currently in the process of starting that. I use Suno for song creation and distrokid for uploading. Suno starts at $10/month for commercial rights and you can pump out something like 500 songs at that rate. Distrokid does pretty much every major platform whenever you want to upload and I think it's $20/year. I've only been doing it for like 10 days so far but I'm at about 400 streams on Spotify. I'm not super worried about turning a profit early on as this is more of a fun learning project for me. I am interested in trying to get a working bot farm going though.

Really low to start, on Spotify it's looking like $1/200 streams. Granted I have done 0 work on promotions and getting my stuff on playlists so streams are going to be pretty low right now. It would be pretty cool to get it running to a profit of a few hundred or so a month. To make a profit at the rate I'm going for expenses though it would need to cover the roughly $12/month for software I would need to get 2400 streams/month just to break even.

What do you mean by updating? Like re-mastering tracks?

Interesting, so you would say that Distrokid has a pretty low quality threshold for accepting songs for distribution? And is likely to distribute whatever? Any more tips on the actual distribution process @Downfall9357 ?

I've tried distributing some of my Suno songs (for family/friends) via RouteNote before, and they were rejected within one of these reasons...

- Content which falls below stores' audio quality standards.
- Content that may be deemed as offensive which incites violence or hatred towards groups/individuals based on their race, religion, sexuality or the like.
- Content which contains unlicensed audio.
- Content that has the potential to be fraudulently streamed.
- Non musical content.
- Content that has been uploaded as spam/advertising.

Presumably the audio quality wasn't on par.

I wouldn't know about it having a low quality threshold. I use Suno as well but maybe I've just been lucky with its generations? I haven't gotten any alerts or warnings for anything like that from DistroKid or any of the places that it distributes to.

You must get songs in good quality and all rights to the songs. The distributor is supposed to ask for the rights to the songs that you publish.

Good tip, Suno really works. Regarding streaming farms, take it easy and pay attention when purchasing accounts, and how you use them, I've been doing this for a long time and I know that Spotify is struggling to combat farms. But the right way you can do it.

I created them, but after a while many friends wanted to do the same. So now I dedicate myself to streaming for them. This could be an idea for you too.
