Is starting a repost account in 2024 a good idea?

I am not using videos with someone speaking. However, I am planning to do use such content on another account. Actually, my reels contain only music. With FFMpeg, before posting the clip, I implement some edits concerning audio. If you want, I can share with you the full command privately. I would like you to take a look at it. Anyway, if you think that it’s much better relying on other softwares, such as Audacity, I will follow your lead. Sometimes, I keep the original audio, as well as using the suggested audio by Instagram at the begin. It also offers me the possibility to mute the sound, but I am unable to change it before two steps of sharing process. I had enabled, in the past, the cross posting option (“Reccomend reels on Facebook”). However, I got only a few views without “Like” and comments. I wasn’t satisfied with such result. Now, it is still disabled, but, if necessary, I could enable it. Where can I find the option “Sharing and Reuse”? Are you talking about allowing “Remix” feature or “Download reels” option? The third option, of course, is enabled. Usually, I prefer focusing to worldwide audience. I rely on your help and look forward to hear from you soon.

Using Audacity is recommended if someone is speaking in your videos. If you’re currently only using music, try muting the original audio and replacing it with a trending Instagram track to give your content a fresh boost. If you want to mute the video before uploading it to Instagram, try searching on Google for “remove audio from video.”

It’s common to get fewer interactions when reels are crossposted to Facebook, as engagement patterns can vary by platform. However, if you’re looking to reach a broader audience, enabling crossposting could still be beneficial, even if the results are gradual.

Since you’re focusing on a global audience, try experimenting with different posting times that align with peak activity in the countries providing the highest views overall.

It seems Instagram may have recently updated some terms/features. "Sharing and Reuse" should be the equivalent of "Sharing and Remixes." To make sure it’s fully enabled, check that all options in this setting are activated.

Aside from trying to change the audio background in the videos you post, I don’t see any other options that might help. Another possibility is that the IP you're using to post might be affecting your results. Also, in case you're posting the videos from a PC, it's better to do it from a smartphone.

Good luck!

Well i started this strategy for 2 weeks i think and i post daily 2 or 3 time but results are almost mone
I also created 2 other acounts in other niches and the same results
I dont know maybe i do something wrong ,i dont understand why to some people give them milions of views and others almost no views doing the same

OK. I will use CapCut or FFMpeg to mute the videos. I will update if I will get any luck. Thanks for your tips. Would you mind advising a system to transfer some video files from PC to iPhone without losing the quality? Now, I am using Snapdrop, but I don’t know if this may affect something.

You're welcome, bro! Snapdrop is a decent option for transferring files, as it usually maintains the quality of the original files. However, if you're concerned about any potential quality loss, you could try using a USB cable. That’s what I use to transfer videos from my PC to my Android, and it preserves the quality well.

It might still work, but Instagram's algorithm may limit its reach in favor of original creators

Hi everyone. I’m pretty new to this forum and I’d appreciate if anyone with experience in running a repost account chime in on this.

1. Is starting a repost account in 2024/2025 a good idea? I think Instagram recently changed its algorithm to favor original creators which seems to be negatively impacting repost accounts.

2. Should I keep my personal account as separate as possible from the repost account to avoid any potential issues, such as shadowban or copyright strike? Should I use a different phone, email, and upload using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi?

Thanks
new accounts can go viral like any other, the only thing you need to worry about are shadow bans, you can buy an acc from 2020 and it will face the same issues if you don't setup the proxies properly, or use videos that got you banned beforehand (any vid posted on banned needs changing)

I didn't get any luck, bro'. My reels don't get views. Can you help me further?

tarting a repost account in 2024 could still work, but you’re right, Instagram’s algorithm does favor original content now, so it might be tougher to grow solely on reposts. To stand out, try adding your own captions, unique spins, or even short commentary to make it feel more original. As for keeping it separate from your personal account, that’s definitely smart. Use a different email, maybe even a separate phone or IP, just in case. It’ll reduce the chances of shadowbans or copyright issues cropping up.

It's not easy to diagnose blindly. You should consider opening a detailed thread in the Instagram forum to explain your issue. For example, how many accounts have you tried? How many devices and IP addresses are you using? Are the accounts new or old, and did you create them yourself, or did you buy them? Are you using hashtags? Do you include captions? If so, are you copying/pasting the same captions from the original videos? You’d likely get more help by creating a thread rather than just commenting on others. Ideally, you might want to try again with a new account, a new device, and a fresh IP, etc.

Thanks for you for your prompt reply. I have tried using four accounts. I didn’t buy them. I just created them by myself. Yes, I include captions and pertinent hashtags. No, I am not copying and pasting the same captions from the original videos. I have created a thread, and I hope to get an answer. I can’t change my device. However, I have created a new account, using a fresh 5G IP. I have also warmed it up, commenting and liking reels based on my niche. I rely on your suggestions, and I am ready to answer to your questions.
