Ads if you know what you're doing, have the budget and don't have the patience to wait for results from SEO.

It solely depends on your monetization method.
if you're after clicks on ads and earn amazon affiliate comission on your blog, SEO is better.
If you sell stuff, collect leads (for which you sell stuff or services) where you have a realistic change that you EPC will be higher than you CPC, go for ads and support your operation with SEO.

SEO long term definitely... i have clients that have google adwords account with an average spend of 50k a year if they would have spent a fraction of that on SEO it would still be paying off for them.. but sometimes you just need results quick and don't want to wait

Depends on your goals and timeline. SEO is a long game. Ads, on the other hand, are immediate but require constant funding - turn them off, traffic stops. I’ve always seen better ROI from SEO over time, but I’ve used ads for testing new offers and products.

I'd say Ads short-term but SEO long-term. If you want to see traffic now and start getting conversions on your offer then Ads it is. But if you have the patience to wait for that traffic which will give you a higher profit margin in the future, then SEO it is. You can also combine both though.

Both are still relevant, but its depends on your business and how quick you want to make money. SEO will take time to generate business, in Ads you get instant results, ofcourse expensive

Today ads cost are high. And It's not a permanent solution of any website. If you want to continue your business long term you have to do SEO. One day it will decrease your marketing cost.
