Quit Facebook Day

hahahaha,

1021 commited facebook quitters already, only 399.998.979 more users to go, good luck on that.

LOL, interesting website but I have to agree with moonbitee, this will never be successful.

Edit: Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook doesn't hit the owner of that website with a cease and desist order simply for using the trademark "Facebook" in their domain name. Using FB's trademark name in the domain name could possibly be the least of their worries however, heh.

I have had cease and desist letter for using Facebook in my domain names, also. Take these seriously they closed all my accounts once including personal one of me and my bf :(

The owner of that site should be putting some ads up on it to make some cash for when the lawyers pounce!

or at least get their emails....

Yea, using their trademark in a domain name is no joke; they don't take to it kindly.

yea the owner of the site is definately in for some trouble very soon BUT

there is a valuable lesson to be taught here

fb will probably wait till the day after to do anything and find out how many people actually quit

from there they will file a lawsuit for punitive damages and it will have to become public record exactly how much

from there we can take the same numbers and do the math TO

fiqure out how much each acct is worth to them in marketing/ads

im on my fifth cup so if anybody else is understanding what i mean/whats my purpose congrats

im gonna ballpark it around 2$ to 3.50 an account. annually on avg.

but yeah this is definately going to hurt that poor site owner lol.

considering the site owner isnt making much $ with it (if any) nor does the site have much traffic i don't think he would put up much resistance to giving up the domain.

A lot of people are not waiting till the end of the may, they have already started deleting their accounts

Code:
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=&ands=deleted+facebook&phrase=&ors=&nots=&tag=&lang=all&from=&to=&ref=&near=&within=15&units=mi&since=&until=&rpp=50

interesting, but facebook may survive this shock...my quit facebook day was a separatist partisan action cc 2 years ago

lol... its like telling people to stop drinking coca cola... I also wonder what is the ratio women to men who are quitting their FB..

I'm sorry, I can't quit. All my family's pictures are up there, my account is set to private so hopefully they'll respect that. Its the only way I can talk to SOME members of my family *cough cough Dad cough*

FB makes me sick sometimes, all you hear about is its lack of security and also all the affairs that occur BECAUSE of FB. But :( what can you do?

I was gonna ballpark closer to $5 an account (only for active users as these peoples are) but I guess all we really gotta do is wait and see.
