What is dumb is... buying new things with regards to technology when you can get used ones...
Think buying brand new iPhone 14 instead of 12 or 11 that are used pieces.
Or buying brand new equipment for a fresh company instead of focusing on putting money where it can result in returns.
"Ohh, I had been making $3k a month. In my country I was rich. But now I don't have anything. I spent it all on expensive computers, gasoline and VPS I didn't even use. All of that is worth either 0 or 15% of original value."
I was that guy 100%. Today I'm more like 20% of that.
When you want to increase chances of success in business, you need to be freaking frugal.
If you can cut down your expenses to zero, cut them.
With this type of way of thinking you'll NOT have to focus on short term money and metrics like "this month I made more than previous month". It's complete bullshit that you made $1000 more this month than the previous one. The key is to focus on 10 years return on initial investment.
And the best returns long term you'll get is by investing in yourself.
