Do you think my prices are fair?

Hello dear forum members, I am making websites and I am making 1 site in an average of 100 - 200 dollars band, they tell me that my prices are expensive.

Should I lower my prices?

I'm struggling because sometimes and most sectors I make special sites, how do you think my prices should be?

I think you should charge what you need to make a living, if your customers think it is to much find other segment of customers that don´t think so. Myself I would never open my laptop and build a site under $2500.

Personally, I don´t sell on any platform, I sell locally where I live. Networking with business owners is key to good prices.

Yes, it's fair and at the same time it's cheap and expansive.
All depends on to whom and where you are selling.
Reason being selling website is extremely saturated niche.

Depends on the location of your clients. If they're saying $200 is a lot then they're surely from a country with a weak currency. If you believe you provide top notch quality stick to targeting 'rich' countries.

I have seen service providers offering websites here on bhw for between $100 and $200 so your prices are probably fair for the currency you are operating in. I would not lower my prices except to setup a portfolio of websites to showcase to prospective buyers. A fair price for you may not be the same as for others.

Your getting clients, and your getting cash, can't you adjust prices slightly, and streamline your operations in anyway? not using wordpress and using wix, and making sure the customer then pays for all the edits. I wouldn't do that myself. But it is an option sort of thing. Even outsourcing some work, or having only a set number of templates to choose from might work too. Basically, can you fit your time around the business, or do you already hit your sweat and expertise limits? It's only a matter of time, if you keep doing business that you'll find better clients who want to work, and pay better, you just have to stay in the game and build those networking links and portfolio.

So, try to get redesign customers that already has an old site and understand the value of it but has an outdated design .. Find different ways to market yourself.

I've paid $240 for a 8-page (5 content pages + 3 legal pages) website 4 years ago and - while the website looked good (had custom header, favicon and sleek layout and good overall design), I still felt ripped off because I was building similar sites (minus the custom header) for myself before that and I knew that it wasn't difficult or time consuming. It's just that this one time I had money to waste so I decided to let the "pros" do it, but I would have honestly not charged more than $100-120 for such a website if I were to build it myself and sell it....

I've digressed a little, but the point that I want to make is that I find your prices fair if you're going to also give your customers 5-10 pieces of content along with the site (I would pay $200 for a 10-page website that looks professional), and I would (and have paid) $100 for a content-less website if it looked professional, was fast and clean, and came with custom header or logo.

So again, your prices are fair to me, especially in today's economy...

Depends. I used to design wordpress websites + 10 Product pages + Woocommerce install + On Page SEO for $150 to $200.

Laughing at the thought of a WordPress landing page for 2.5k
