Majority of those who is "liking" the new design are actually forcing themselves to like. You know in the office how you always have to reluctantly "LIKE" and follow whatever the boss or seniors says haha.

See, it's not about new design or old design. It's about dull (which is this design) compared to cool and appealing to the eyes (which was the yellow and black combination).

People who prefer this color scheme over the yellow and black combination seriously needs to get eyes checked.

Still wondering if the developer even confirmed the design with the admins before finalizing?

In my case I don't see it that way. Personally I like the new design, although to be honest, I don't care if it is like this or if it is like it was before. On the other hand, I don't consider this to be "my office" and I don't consider that I have bosses or anyone to boss me around or tell me what to do. I simply know that in this forum there are rules that must be respected and I know that if I respect them, I will never have problems in this place. It is like if I arrive at a house that is not mine, I know very well that I cannot arrive at that house to do whatever I want.

simple solution is offer people a CHOICE where they can
select on there account, the old version b4 the update
or the new layout after the update. problem solved.
im use to the old layout after using it 17 yrs - but thats
personal choice .

This has been fixed corrected but there will still be times where people's username will break onto two lines.

and most importanly once and again, you're not used to it, it's a common sense to actually dislike it

i'll be mentioning @Diamond Damien or whoever within the team for a small bug fix,
add a little spacing after the fotter ad banner, it's too close


let me know if i need to actually keep reporting design suggestions here or anywhere else

I read this whole thread, but on page 15 or so, I had to switch to the light-style theme because I was going blind.

PS: Nobody ever told me that my signature is hardly visible in the light theme. I'm losing money!!!!

I don't know how accurate the AI accessibility scores are but in my case and many others in this thread the new BLACK theme is just not accessible friendly. It's hard to read, small fonts, dull colors, weird contrast. I've perfect vision and I'm feeling so much strain in eyes, imagine people who've slight vision issues, color blindness etc, it'll be a nightmare to navigate through BHW for them.

Beyond the hideous colours, and the fact we can't revert to previous design.

A bigger issue is that the text creates a weird lagging effect when scrolling. hurts the eyes, need an option to have standard black background white text.

If it doesn't change I'll spend less time here and I'm sure a mod or two will miss me

Old BHW wasn’t built to be perfect in one day, over time the design of the old theme was perfected. I think BHW users will need some time to adjust to the new look, and admins will need some time to fix all minor bugs in the new design. For me, I like to embrace changes and I actually think the new layout looks less slutty fr.

you can't fix with simply some editings the pain your eyes are getting which gets you in the end headaches.
I stopped reading topics on bhw and only look at postings with big pauses in between for my eyes.
Will it not be fixed i will stop using bhw.
BHW is not worth it destroying my eyes and if they don't care about my or others people opinion who have the same problem than its also not worth spending here time anyore

The problem is not the few bugs here and there the problem is that the eyes are hurting very quickly
