How pathetic am I ?

This thread is not to sympathise with me, I'm looking for tough and real talk only.
I dropped college this year after realizing it's useless in the country I'm living in, So I started working full time job, The thing is, I feel like a slave, even if it's the average wage and it's something normal here but I feel pathetic realizing I'm getting paid 3$ a day, on 8 hours work.
I learned programming and web design in the past 2 years but I suck at socializing and promoting my work a,d skills, Plzzz give me some ideas, enlighten me I'M LOST.

You have dropped college that's your choice but that's not useless.

College is not just about degree & knowledge it's more than that.

You should continue your studies and choose your skills carefully.

You need to master those skills which is only possible by working on projects.

Build your github profile learn how to use git and github from youtube.

Build your portfolio/resume website you can host it on github if it's static one.

Contribute to open-source projectthon github.

Host your public project codes on github.

Use freelance platforms like upwork and have patience because you might not get projects easily there.

Time management is important since you have an 8 hours job already.

What I did after college was a 9 to 5 job as a junior developer & part time freelance jobs.

After few years I had enough projects & clients to quit job and continue with full time freelance work.

Thank you for the advice, I agree that college is important but I'm sure you would change your view if you experience college in my country, it's for everything except for studying, millions have degrees that they don't know what to do with, my neighbor have a master's degree in mechanical engeneering and he's literlally selling socks on the street.

My main goa now is to have a steady income online, Getting paid 100$ a week from the internet ( which is very low for most people here) makes me more rich than 98% ofmy country's population.

it's not final, But I see no point in resuming it, Knowledge is the most important but it's not limited to college, And I don't want to limit my potentials to just a degree, specially where I come from.

Just don't get into any vices. One day at a time.

You should not even have anxiety at this age. There is still time to get anxious and suffer that's called mid life crisis just jk.

Any ways just have fun. Do things slowly. Develop skills and don't get into any vices, you are good.

Have fun and money cannot buy 20s when you get old.

Thank you brother for your valuable advice, I wish I could relax more and enjoy my 20s with friends and family, but even if I wanted to enjoy it, I need money to do so, I am obsessed with sport (swimming & gym) and it requires significant amount of money. However try to enjoy the moment as much as you can. This is the age when you can afford to make mistakes and collect wild experiences that won't require a lot of money

If you are going get into swimming as a profession it may require a lot of money for the coaching etc. However sports and swimming should be free accessible within the local community if you are doing it as a hobby.

Truth about 20s is that it's the age when most people are broke and struggling to get a degree. If you want money, wait till you're 35. Just make sure you don't derail yourself too much during wild 20s, so you make it to that moment. Have seen very low percentage of successful 20 year olds.

That's not a fair comparison, each country is different whether we like it or not.
Right, everyone wants to make more money, but is that $3 getting you by, happily, enough for dailies essentials, food, shelter, and some for entertainment and savings? That to me is the real question.
There no point making 1k a day, if your expenses are 2k a day.

That's pretty normal, but that's nothing some practice can't improve, whats your irl job? Surely, that can help boost some confidence and social skills.

Honestly, if you quit your job and dive full time into IM with the ideas above, your gonna be at a loss even more.
I would personally invest your spare time in IM as a hobby before taking it as a FT job.
