Should thread bumps increase post and page count of a BST thread?

I have seen on another forum where bumps do not influence post count and therefore page count.

It's really hard to go through some sales threads to find answers when most of the time the seller is bumping the thread with the same post.

Nothing against bumping. You need to make money.

But it would be cool if the bump didn't appear endlessly and therefore artificially inflating the stats.

Thoughts anyone?

Even if we removed post count from the marketplace, sellers would still do this in order to bump their thread to the homepage and top of the subforum. We can't disable all 3 of these features, and as long as one of them is active, sellers will keep bumping their thread every 72 hours for promotional purposes or every 24 hours to reply to potential customers.
