Hello, I have a Reddit account with 12,000 karma. I am wondering how to make money from it. I see people making good amounts of money from it. How can I do the same thing?

You can use this for driving the traffic to blog/website mate

Reddit announced a contributor program where eligible users will be able to convert their Reddit gold and karma into fiat currency, which is disbursed once per month. (US only for now)

A user’s Reddit karma (or number of upvotes received) dictates how much money they can earn. To withdraw money, redditors need to earn at least 10 gold within a 30-day period — if they don’t reach the threshold, the balance rolls over. For users with between 100 and 4,999 karma, they will receive $0.90 per 1 gold. Once you earn more than 5,000 karma, you can earn $1 per gold.

I am not from US so can't tell you how it works and is it even worth doing but seems like a great way to make money on the side if you are from the US.

Reddit is tough. Easiest way is to drive value on a subreddit you frequent, adding in mentions to products (affiliate marketing type of play) but only when it actually adds value.

Yes, they are selfish.
Not to mention subreddits ban for anything. If they smell 0.00001% of promotion of some kind, you are getting banned, it's ridiculous. Admins and mods on subreddits are abusing their power only for their advantage, which is normal. If I had subreddit with +1M users I wouldn't allow spam either.

I try to create my own communities

You can offer your reddit posting services. Like you offer someone else to post on behalf of them from your account and charge a small fee.

Where do I post the offer? Large communities do not accept promotion

You need to find out by yourself how to promote your service/offer. Clients are everywhere - social media sites, forums, marketplaces, freelancing platforms.

Also, you can sell in this forum once you become a Jr. VIP.

Reddit has been abused for way too long for most people to turn a profit of it

Better karma does not mean you can earn. You need to find what will be best.

But it's very expensive, about $800, isn't it?

Redditors are insane people that hate advertising, if they see you promoting something they will downvote you to death
The best way to make money from Reddit i know is creating your own subreddit and making a PIN post with your aff link
