I have a 26 year old 6 letter domain, is there any value to that?

ritman - com was registered 12-22-1997 (wow last century!). That is my nickname and I haven't done jack with it. I have heard the term aged domains, can anyone please help me understand what, if any value that brings to me? The name doesn't mean much but I wonder if it will bring any benefits when I start taking it seriously.

There is an insurance company worth 5 mil, and an artist who died in 1963, and a couple schools and other random things but when I run it through the G, I do not get very much.

26 years out of 29 the Internet has been around sounds great - but is it? TX

Another fun fact, my domain is only 3 months younger than the big G

I asked the AI, so other facts are that there is zero history of spam or BH practices. Disadvantage is there is as much history as in very little. Never had more than a 10 page website on there.

The most valuable aspect of an aged domain is that it has quality links that could cost thousands of dollars to replicate.

The only way to find its actual value is by listing it in the domain market and keep a reserve and auction it.

Try to auction it off on Go Daddy at least once
Some buisness owners love shorter domains even if it doesn't target a specific niche
