Dropshippers Good And Bad...Lets Talk About It!!

Wow that's weird, its not called ebay in China!

They said in 2006 ebay went from 80% of consumer sales to 30% (There's actually a someone BIGGER and MORE popular the ebay! lol) and was trying to find a partner because China introduced new rules that a foreign business couldn't own a Chinese company (so ebay could no longer operate in China) and they almost shut up shop. Obviously they found a partner who insisted on using a different name! lol.

I spent ages looking on ebay.cn too until I finally realized its a load of rubbish! lol

I have been doing awhile on egay by dropshipping.I would recommend ginosalesdotcom they offer free worldwide shipping.really convinient for me.Go for alibaba or wat really risky because all publisher are china scammer.Becareful with them...

On my last post, I used the term "ebay china" as an example... I was refering to websites that are doing the same thing as ebay...but from China...

There are a lot of websites that can give you a lot of good products, for example tw.yahoo.com shopping and hk.yahoo.com shopping page...yes they are in chinese so you will need a translator tool.

They are not the cheapest one but like I said those are only examples.

And yes there is a big one right now on the asian market that is becoming bigger and bigger. It will probably be popular in Europe and America in 1 or 2 yrs...I dont know why people are still dealing with tradetang.com or dhgate.com...they are very expensive...

Oh also...dont waste your time dealing with scammers on alibaba, asiansources or globalsources....

One of the thing that I would suggest you to do is contact the translation companies in China... They offer a new b2b services that are really helpful for many of us.

You can tell them what you are looking for... Their job is to find you the products that you wanted at the best price possible... They will make sure that the quality is good also... All you need to do is to pay them a basic fee per month... In other word, you contracted them to find your items, check the quality and send it to you or your customers...

Hope this help;)

spdbmp, that is an amazing post. You don't even know how glad I am to find your post. I'll be checking out and starting dropshipping with most of those I"m sure! Thanks so much.

No problem; glad I could help. ;)

Spdbmp,
good share mate. But...
Got any good suppliers for the UK?
No, sorry man. I've mainly dealt with US suppliers, and a couple from China. :)

Hi everyone. I've been spending a lot of time researching dropshipping. I keep running into a dilemma though. I may just be chicken but the most commonly available products seem to be replicas. I've seen them for sell all over the net but I can't help but ask the question of whether or not this is legal?

If not, then do you think that maybe its okay as long as you don't say that they are authentic? I hate to be one of the only people missing out on this but I'd hate to go to prison also.:p

Great Posts!! I have always wanted to go to drop shipping and get out of this brick and mortar biz.

I'm gonna try this.. thanks for this great thread :).. especially #23 post.

Another way to find good wholesalers is to subscribe to trade magazines from your niche. There are tons of ads in them from distributors and manufacturers, and most have a directory of sorts in the back that list their advertisers. Trade shows are listed in them as well- lots of great info!
I am sure that in these magazines, you will find many vendors willing to drop ship.

Can anybody share their experience with U.K. dropshipping companies please.

Just wanted to say thanks juztin for that great post. I've had a few bad experiences with dropshipping and was thinking about tapping into the chinese market so this helps a lot!

Leaving my two cents, i'll say Doba's got a diverse line of products but personally, because they only ship within the u.s., i found myself kinda limited. Megagoods' has good customer service in my opinion but because they're very obviously the middle man, their prices, amusingly, are sometimes even higher than retail so u'll never make much with it.

I'm off to to hunt for some chinese b2b's. :flame:

i ordered a macbook air on DHgate that was based in china, the macbook air was only $400 my cost go figure, turned out to be fake,.i still have it though, found out its not to bad..

You can check the suppliers at castle of savings dot com and enter
elogin for the user name and access for the password.Lots of interesting goodies here.:D
I don't see any place to enter a username or password. Why don't you just wrap the URL in code] ?

How do you know its fake if it does work? Also has anyone able to become a powerseller doing this? I would assume people would notice and give you bad ratings as far as ebay goes at least...

I'm Current On Ebay And One Of The Things I'm Looking For A Good Drop Shipper, So I Can Start Turning A Decent Profit And Not Have To Do The Whole 9-5 ,Kill Your Dreams For A Check Ever 2 Weeks, Thing .

So Far What I've Come Across Are Supplier Who Sell Fake Item (ie, DHGate lol), Or Supplier Who Are Really Glorified Middle Men (ie, Charge A Tiny Bit Under Retail So You Get No Profit :( ).

Personally My Advice To Everyone Interested In Doing The Drop Shipping Or Wholesale Deal Is To Get A Sales Tax ID Number (Depending On Your State It May Be Called Something Else), All Real Wholesaler Ask For One, And I Had To Learn That The Hard Way :( .

So Anyway, I Thought I'd Start A Thread To Discuss Some Good Suppliers/Drop Shippers That Members Of This Forum Have Come Across And/Or Use.

Oh And Lets Try And Avoid Worldwidebrand, I Know Blackhatworld Has Way More Reach And Skill Then To Refer To A Service That Cost 300ish Bucks For Information Openly Available.

So....Lets Start The Discussion!!

focalprice.com and dealextreme.com They are being advertised by Paypal last Christmas and I have also personally bought items from them.

Really great dropshippers. Accepts Paypal.

Do you mean you import and sell through your own shop/web site?

The secret to this entire issue is to find people who have dealt, or deal with the Chinese market on a daily bases... I am an importer, and what I do is find people the product they want straight from the manufacturer. Dropshipping is no longer a good option on eBay or Amazon. With 21 day holds on PayPal and 14 day holds on new accounts with Amazon, dropshipping is a pure risk.

I recommend wholesale, and if you don't have money to start a business with a physical product, invest more time into figuring out how to bring in more money for inventory. eBay is not as easy as it seems, and you might think it is easier due to the low overhead! Not true, I spent more time on my eBay auctions than I ever did with my local stores. To be quite honest, I made much more money importing my products directly than dealing with any of the stupid dropshippers.

why don't you name the site... does anyone know which one it is?

For those asking what are the Asian kind of Ebay sites.
First is http://www.auction.co.kr which is an Ebay official site, do not ask me how to read it use translation tools and lots of luck.
Now my opinion the best is http://www.gmarket.co.kr/index_eng.asp this is in English ( a lot of flash), but no auctions and good wholesale prices try to communicate with people , they are happy to sell, also your payments are after delivery through escrow service.
Good Luck

Yes i do business with movies4wholesale.com (Good Drop Ship Company) another one is
http://www.ckbproducts.com and http://www.fouraceswholesale.com
